Poured from a bottle into a glass.

Dark brown color; some light passes near the edges.

Nice khaki head; spotty lacing.

Oats & milk in the nose; smells like an oatmeal stout!

Thick mouthfeel.

This tastes like a mix between an oatmeal stout & a milk stout, with the oats winning out. Smooth & enjoyable.

This one has some auburn color going with it. Highly carbonated. Aroma has a bit of brown and chocolate malt vibe.

Some tea and toffee taste, mildly sweet. Smooth enough I guess, brown sugar, caramel and cinnamon. I like that it is heartier than the more popular Newcastle ale. This is about the viscosity and heft if you took a standard brown ale and mixed it like a black and tan with a porter. A tan and brown if you will.

Appearance: Much darker than expected for a brown ale. I could have easily have confused it for a porter. Tan colored head with not much of retention or lacing.

Nose: Dried fruit, caramel, roastiness and (once it warms up a bit) some booze too.

Taste: Fairly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. More dark dried fruit. More and more flavors show up as it warms up (duh!). Some roastiness and caramel.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with just about the right amount of carbonation.

Overall: A very nice Brown. I'm not an expert on the style, but I would happily drink this again without hesitation.

Bottle to glass. Better than I remember this beer from long past, half forgotten trips to the crescent city. Appearance is dark brown, but translucent. Big healthy white head, Aroma is brown sugar, cinnamon bread, malt Taste is sugar cinnamon, bread, (do I taste beignet). Very full, sweet and tasty. Medium carbonation that lasts. Very pleased. I’ll buy this again."

It pours a dark brown color with a smell of caramel. The taste is a rick caramel feel with a hint of coffee aftertaste. It is a nice brown ale well worth a try.

from a bottle into a pint glass.

Pour is a deep brown with a slightly redish hue when held up to the light. Thin head faded quickly leaving nothing for lace behind.

Smell is mostly caramel type malt aroma. maybe bits of toffee and coffee but those are very fain.

Taste is rich malty caramel and coffee flavors with smoke and grassy hops. I think taste here is much better than smell.

Feel is light to medium with some carbonation. Flavors fade rather quickly. This is not a heavy beer by any means.
