Served On-Tap
A — Pours an orangish lemony yellow hue into the glass, mostly clear, an off-white colored head forms and sticks behind some moderately consistent bits of lacing.
S — Smell is alright, focused on tropical hop aromas of pineapple, melon, and a light orange and grapefruit citrus fruit component.
T — Taste is much like the nose, though there is a noticeable caramel malt sweetness underneath the hop notes of pineapple, grapefruit, and melon.
M — Medium bodied, a lingering sticky sweetness is here as well.
O — Good overall, though not a great substitute for a 22oz of Maharaja, a fine beer, but not up to the same standard, IMO.

Canned 12/12/15; drank 3/3/16 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy yellow/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small white head; a curtain of tree-rung lace.
Pine, fresh soap & mild banana notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Dry pine & soap flavors up front; faint grapefruit notes on the finish. No booze heat.
Not piss water or anything, but this is assuredly NOT my DIPA profile. Permanent pass.

This is the beer that M actually liked. I remember really liking it as well.

Pretty solid. Gave me this instead of the incredible Maharaja, so it was just OK. Worth trying.

On the lighter side for an Imperial IPA, but still an amazing drink. I prefer the Maharaja, but if it’s not an option, and the Raja is, get it!
