Maharaja is derived from the sanskrit words mahat, meaning “great”, and rajan, meaning “king”. Much like its namesake, this imperial IPA is regal, intense and mighty. With hops and malts as his servants, he rules both with a heavy hand. The Maharaja flaunts his authority over a deranged amount of hops: tangy, vibrant and pungent along with an insane amount of malted barley – fashioning a dark amber hue and exquisite malt essence. Welcome to his kingdom!

The Maharaja is the second installment in our Dictator Series.

Cooper color with a medium white head. The aroma of hops, citrus, and alcohol. The taste is malty sweet in the beginning, then perfect hops bitter with alcohol presence. Great beer!!! Rich taste !!!

can into glass
Rich 'n' creamy, ivory head. Nearly clear, medium orange with an amber tint, for the appearance. Concentrated, caramelized, medium toasted malt, sweet spiced tangerine peel, for the aroma. Balanced, candied tangerine peel on a medium toasted caramel malt base with a hint of the tropics and a solid but measured bite that fades, to allow a finish.

One of my go to beers from a store. Definitely a brewery taste without leaving the house. I loved this beer the moment I tried it. Instant hop with a drinkable finish. Must try for sure if you have yet to try.

12oz can from Pilgrim's Market. Deep golden pour, creamy, tight white head. Aroma is equal parts caramel malts and citrusy/pine hops. Taste is rich toffee, juicy hops. An old school DIP for sure that still holds up.

This one slaps. The aroma is dank hops coming from the Simcoe, and alcohol twang. The taste is sublime! Decent malt backbone, high bitterness, and more dankness and alcohol in the flavor. Mouthfeel is sticky resin, which is fantastic. Overall, I only review beers that I find to be exceptional, and this is no exception. It hits hard, just like a double (triple) IPA should.

12oz canned 7-15-25, opened 9-18-25.
2 finger sand colored head with long retention and clingy, early lacing. Orange gold with limited visibility.
Ripe orange and citrus, earthy malt and minty/piney backdrop in the aroma.
Earthy, green, and piney hops dominate the flavor with orange and bready malt along for the ride.
Full body and coating mouthfeel with a wallop of hops. Finishes off-dry leaning to dry...surprised for such a big iPA.
Powerful.
Very Good.

Dark gold pour ( almost bronze), finger plus of khaki head. Nose offers a forest of pine.

Taste brings heavy caramel, bitter marmalade, buckets of pine resin, floral note, medium kilned malt. Mouthfeel is full and a little boozy. Finish shows a spreading warmth of pine and citrus bitterness with length. One to be experienced.

Pours somewhere between amber and brown - smelly malty & nutty with hints of browns sugar, molasses, and apricot. Taste follows suit - caramel sweetness and malt flavors coupled with fig jam & some orange notes. Overall pretty solid - high ABV only peeks through slightly and doesn't leave the palette too sticky.

Underrated. Used to be a bit inconsistent especially if temperature abused. Had a hay-day from approx 2008-2015 then fell away, then actually has gotten close to peak again in its recent years in production imo. Gorgeous, gigantic beer. A very rich imperial/double/triple ipa at 10%. Really almost a barleywine. You feel and taste it all and that’s the point lol.

But again gorgeous in the glass, glowing mildly hazy stunning honey amber gold. Smelling it is very very bright on the nose punchy and citric, pine, pomelo, herbaceousness. The sip is full and dense, thick but plenty of structure and carbonation. Zippy and hot for a second. Zesty hashy Hop bath. Resinous and oily with lupulin. Super sweet and bitter. Absolutely insane legs. Perfect grain bill to hold it all up. Wow.

Theyre masters. Especially with this one. Intense, aggressive, a treat of a reward

Pours clear amber/golden with a thick off-white head. Generous lacing. Aroma is citrus with a hint of pine. Flavor follows the nose, a bit sweet without much bitterness in the finish. Feel is medium bodied, a bit syrupy with low carbonation. Overall, a fun beer.

12oz can. Bottom date stamp is 'PKG ON 10/10/24', about eight weeks in the can.
Mostly clear, deep gold colored body. Two fingers of dense white head, and this recedes to a bumpy cap and ring. Leaves behind thick lacing webs.
Aroma of orange and pine with some support from caramel malts.
Taste is bitter and malty, with flavors of sweet orange, pine resin, and a strong base of caramel malts. Jammy dankness. The buzz lingers into the aftertaste.
More than medium mouthfeel. Thick nectar. Repeated sips numb the tongue. Very good carbonation.
Higher ABV% is felt and warming, but no burn. Good to see a sweet and malty palate wrecker, and with bitterness in spades.

Pours a foggy orange, off white head, some lacing. Nose says citrus and pine, taste buds agree with that assessment. Terrific, love to find more of this.
