12oz undated can poured into a pint glass shows a deep russet, just like advertised, and briefly floats a 1/4in cream colored head that relaxed to a whispy cap and leaves erratic lacing.

Aroma is roasted cocoa bean bitterness and the flavor matches. The malt sweetness balances for a refreshing swallow.

Mouthfeel is a slightly full leaning medium that finishes wet with a hint of carbonation bite.

Overall a very nice, clean, and wet drink.

Drank from 20oz tulip and poured from 12oz can. Canned 11/01/17.

Look: Coffee brown, somewhat transparent and thin in appearance. Minimal head, moderate lacing.

Smell: Coffee on the nose, with some sweetness, like butterscotch or caramel. Not aromatic, but still pleasant.

Taste: Roasted malts, caramel, and some coffee. Pretty pleasant taste. No astringent flavors.

Feel: Medium in body, but light feeling in terms of weight. Very easy drinking, with moderate carbonation. Very smooth drinking.

Overall: This is a pretty decent brown ale. It is simple but very enjoyable. I know it isn't the freshest can, but still doesn't seem to alter the beer. I really enjoyed this offering. Cheers!

Pours a dark brown color with nice caramel color notes and a two and a half finger tan head made of very large bubbles that slowly compress. This head once compressed down to about one finger was stayind around for a short bit.

Smell was faintly like a dark sugar. Maybe a bit of caramel. Real faint on the nose.

Taste was some raisins behind a punch of roasted malts. Interesting.

Mouth feel is medium with fairly light carbonation and a sticky wet finish.

This is an interesting beer. Up front on the flavor I imagined I was drinking a nice roasty porter until I hit about midway or just a bit further back. The flavor profile picked up a bit of sweetness and some raisin to it. The carbonation is fairly low but may be due to this can sitting for a while. Would love to try this fresh on tap. Seems like a solid beer and something different if you like the dark stouts and porters. A very good beer for a cold night by the fireplace watching the snow pile up outside. Not happening here in Vegas! Cheers!

A great beer with hints of coffee, a chalky/dry finish. Complexities change as the beer warms.

Taste rating in words: complex lab study that ends in a small poof.

On tap at Crooked Creek in Fraser Colorado. Pours a Coca Cola Brown. Not much to smell. A sweet caramel with just a hint of something roasted. Not very complex but very drinkable.
