Well, aged this guy about two years. Bottled 2016 Nov. looks like a stout. Big head but I poured heavy handed just to see what it'd do. Still dissipated rather quickly. Smell like cinnamon, coffee of course and a fruity that it's just kind of there that reminds me of a Belgian Stout. Taste. Dang man. Coffee, chocolate, sweet barely any umami. It's just fantastic. No booze at all. At 16% well done hiding that guy. Unless it was the aging.

12oz, bottled OCT 27 2017, 16% ABV. Pours jet black with a thin & fizzy light brown head. Boozy bourbon, vanilla, oak, char, and roasted barley aroma. Tons of residual sweetness with good complexity and notes of vanilla, bourbon, caramel, oak, chocolate, roasted barley, and maybe a hint of coffee, but I wouldn't guess it was there if I wasn't told. Full body, sticky sweet, for 16%, the alcohol is not overly hot. Overall, very rich and sweet, but maybe too rich amnd sweet for my liking.

was upset when they did away with the demon series beers but am super glad they're keeping this variation around. Subtle coffee notes big alcohol warmth excellent heavy malt flavor. Make sure you share this one

Bottled 11/14/2016 and poured into a snifter. Great look to this one on the pour, with a nearly opaque dark brown color and a thick tan head that slowly settled. Impressive for a BA beer of this strength. On the nose, the bourbon, coffee, and chocolate roast mixed very well with nothing overpowering the other notes. The taste was equally impressive. Smooth whiskey out of the gate that was enveloped by chocolate and coffee. Boozy but not overly hot - I found this to be well-balanced and more mellow than expected for a 16% beer. The feel was outstanding - full-bodied but easy to drink and not overly sweet, with a warm but soft finish. This one lived up to the hype in my book.

Under BA's new ranking regime (useful), I do not remember having a beer this high (#179).
(I'm betting high alcohol content also correlates to high rank, but let's save that for a more sober moment.)
Regardless, Tweak deserves what it gets. Smooth, balanced, soft, viscous, complexity enhanced by the barrel .... and, yes, intoxicating. Don't be fooled by the smell or taste of coffee. Tweak will not wake you up. (Quite the opposite.)
I knew enough to share this with a friend.
I hope you do, too.

One of the beers with the most coffee I've ever had.

12oz bottle dated 10/27/17 16%
Pours a thick dark ebony/brown showing light at the edges. Without more, it seems lifeless as it is without foam, cap, or head; just a couple whispy swirls, however lacing is spotted with legs, showing life.

Aroma is booze forward, with stone fruit, and a hint of bitter roast while slightly ash-y. There's a lot going on here.

Flavor starts with dark stone fruits and bitter roast that could be coffee, then the bourbon follows sweetly with oak and vanilla. For a stout with deliberately added coffee this is really light on coffee flavor. Since I hate coffee that is great for me, however for the brewer's intention that seems unfortunate.

Mouthfeel is a perfectly smooth tongue-coating medium-leaning full with a clean, warming finish.

Overall a great example of the style even if the coffee is weak. The abv is well hidden for a beer that smells, tastes, and warms like bourbon.

I wanted to love this beer. It’s possible that I was a little too congested when I tried it, but the boozy alcohol overwhelmed the coffee flavor. I really like coffee stouts and porters, but this wasn’t the beer I was hoping it would be, especially at the price ($11/12oz bottle). Definitely more imperial stout than coffee.
