Bottled April 2012; drank 5/11/14 @ the Yarchives.
Murky dandelion hue.
White head; minimal lace.
Apple cider & pear in the nose, with hints of banana & orange.
Medium mouthfeel.
Strong pear flavor, with notes of apple cider, banana & mild black pepper; a dry, champagne finish, caped by an orange citrus sweetness.
Quite agreeable.

Per the label, bottled in April 2012. Just found this sitting on a shelf at a party store over the weekend, so it probably the equivalent of 5 years aging on this beer. The price was right so I bought it to try in the name of science.
Appearance: Pours hazy golden, lacing white head
Smell: Almost like wine or apples. Maybe a little yeast presence.
Taste: Bready. Dry. White grape. Begins to get a little bitter as it warms.
Mouthfeel: Thin, but smooth.
Overall: I'm not a huge fan of Belgian beers, but this was easy to drink. I didn't have this fresh, so trying it with a few years of age on it leaves me inclined to think that it didn't hold up, at least in my opinion. Smells more appetizing than it tastes, but at no point did I ever struggle with drinking it.

Approaching 3 years old.
Huge Belgian yeast esters of pear, peach, and green apple accompany a syrupy sweet, fairly bready malt character to form the aroma. Smells terrific.
Flavor is a touch less fruity. Similar esters, with peach surfacing more, open the profile. There's a missing note in the middle. Could perhaps use more pronounced malt or sweetness to lead into the lightly dry, peppery, lightly bitter finish. Notes of clove and banana surface late.
Great beer that's going to age well a while longer. Swirling in the yeast produces a muddling effect of the esters, reminiscent of less tart sweet tarts.

Wow. I opened this and started into it thinking it was just another good Belgian of the many I purchased recently, and being an Avery, it may or may not be ready to drink, and so what if it isn't. This was a serious disrespect of a great brew. My apologies, but now, since it popped the sucker, it's time to enjoy it. But had I realized that this was already 33 months old I may have celebrated the occasion of its consumption.
It is a pretty nice deep yellow tripel with pretty lacing and a delicate head. The aroma has a pleasant subtle finishing hops smell. The taste shows little of this hops as it is mostly malts and yeast in the taste. It is a splendid brew.
The aftertaste is somewhat boozy but very nice. There is little burn except way later.
I will try to see if they have any more of these since I just bought this and it is sublime.

"Celebrating nineteen years of brewing could kind of get overlooked what with the big 2-0 coming. But we will never forget 2011! Not only was it our largest growth year ever, but we also began designing our new brewing facility! In excited anticipation of 20 years and the new brewery, we concocted this very traditional, yeast driven dry and fruity Tripel." Brewed in the style of a Belgian Tripel Ale. Released in 2012 as a one-off anniversary release, available in 22 oz. bottles and on limited draft.
Poured from a 22 oz. bottle to a tulip glass. Served above 46º Fahrenheit.
(Appearance) Pours a crisp foamy head of a ivory color over a medium-hazy golden amber body. Subtle Retention is above average and lacing is light and streaked. 4
(Smell) Wheat, pilsner malts, honey, spiced bread and white grape juice. Mildly sweet and potent aroma, very effervescent. 3.75
(Taste) Flavors of wheat malts, biscuity grains, fermented honey and a vinous fruit profile of white grape, peach and a touch of citrus rind. 3.75
(Mouthfeel) The texture is slick, mildly viscous and medium dry. Carbonation generates spritely bubbles for a medium crisp mouthfeel. Body is medium+ for the style, medium/heavy overall. Balance is slightly peppery and grainy over sweet. Alcohol presence is moderate, there are no notable off-characters. 4
(Overall) It's a fairly solid Tripel ale with a good deal of malt body, vinous fruit character and syrupy sweetness. 8.23% may seem a bit mild but this drinks surprisingly light. 4
