on-tap at the brewery, 10+ ounce pours x 2

"A unique 14-barrel blend from Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Whiskey wood, this version sports a dark red hue with vanilla and balsamic aromas, a rich flavor with notes of fig, and a surprisingly dry finish"

A pricey option, but you only live twice. Dark mahogany body - whiffs of balsamic, tart sugars, barrel. Pucker-y, lots of barrel notes, balsamic, cherry. Complex and layered - everyone's favorite of the lot.

Pours a slightly cloudy auburn with reddish highlights. Minimal head with some lacing. Nose is straight lactic acid with notes of balsamic vinegar, blueberry, oak, vanilla. Very nice. Taste starts with in your face tartness followed by a more delicate berry character. Oak and vanilla round out the finish. Mouthfeel is highly carbonated and medium body. Overall, delicious sour from Avery!
