Beer taste is subjective. I should have read the label more carefully. I hate coriander. This beer might be someone else's favorite. The spice flavor makes this taste bad to me. I bought a six pack and took it back to the store. To be fair I will have to try a beer from them that is more suitable from my taste preference I'll try Avery Brewing Co. IPA or Stout next. This stuff I wouldn't ever buy again.

$4.25 bottle at Brickskeller's in Washington DC.

After walking to the bar from the metro stop, I needed something crisp and refreshing. I'd never had an Avery product before, but it turns out I made a wise choice.

A delightful beer. So crisp and clean - fantastic! It is very lively - not like so many other Belgians I've had where the saison yeast just overpowers everything else.

Light and refreshing, but not in a wimpy or weak way. Full of personality and character.

12oz brown bottle. Very hazy pale straw colored beer, with a large bubbled foamy white head, lace and some stick to the glass.

Musty hay fresh yeast aroma, with splashes of orange peel and soft coriander spice.

Thin-bodied, but even, and quite light on the palate with scrubbing quick flash of tight carbonation. Light short-lived citric hop bitterness. Dirty yeast / pear-skin feel follows. More soft spices of coriander smoothed into the light malt sweetness, with hints of apple and orange, and an herbal backing. Dry-ish yeasty finish.

A fairly decent stab at the style. Seems a bit dumbed down, but it’s still enjoyable and worth a try.

Hazy light straw color with a decent head that fades quickly.

Yeasty aroma with a hint of spiciness in the background. Taste is an initial hint of spiciness followed by a fruitiness I can't quite place.
Not bad, but not very exciting. I got this bottle in a mixed sixer, I doubt I'd go out and purchase this one.

I had this beer on tap at the Flying Saucer here in Nashville. While this beer was simple and refreshing on a warm summer evening, it lacked complexity in flavor that I was looking for and have found in other wit beers. It was off-white, and completely cloudy and opaque, with minimum head. There were subtle flavors of yeast and coriander, but the malt and hops were definitely subdued and under-represented. I would drink this beer again, and it would be great for sessions, but I would not seek it out.

A - Hazy yellow with a thin persistent head
S - There are hints of citrus and spice and something a little on the funky side.
T/M - Very mild, no discernible hop presence...light carbonation and a little watery...This might sound crazy, but as I'm drinking my head keeps saying milk.

I thought this might have been a bad bottle, but after just reading a few other reviews it looks like this is the norm.

All in all not a bad beer, but not a great beer either.

On the bland side, could use something extra

Pours with a one-finger white head that fades to a ring leaving no lace. Pale cloudy, yellow color with the chunky bits on the bottom. Medium bodied. Nose is a faint yeast. Medium-strong carbonation. Starts and finishes with a crisp citrus flavor that is not overwhelming. $1.49 for a 12oz bottle from Liquor Barn Lexington, KY.

Appearance - A very pale almost whitish liquid pours with a descent head that, unfortunately, dissolves into a whispy ring, just a little to quickly. Lacing, however, was quite nice. Little pits of yeast swirl around, despite a careful pour.

Smell - Yeasty, almost like a hefeweizen, with the clovey characteristics, there in. A little malt squirms through, as does a dry hopiness and corriander? Not sure of that.

Taste - A very smooth beer. definetly a wheat beer, lots of light wheat tang here. Flavors meld very nicely here, but I wouldn't classify it so much a belgian, as much as a spiced weizen.

Mouthfeel - Very thin and watery, a little more carbonation, as in a hefe or a more traditional belgian would help alot here.

Drinkability - On a hot summer day, after mowing the lawn, or re-taring the roof is where this ale would shine. Quaffable, but without the depth of character that one expects from a belgian. Would be a great intro to craft beer for a BMC drinker.

Edit: After drinking, I realised there were words printed on my bottle. Spiced with corriander, and orange curacoa peel. The bottle also advises to swirl, and dump the yeast a la Heffeweizen...

Poured into a pint glass.

A-Very pale yellow, a bit hazy, good for the style

S-Faint yeasty smell. not much else

T- Bitterness hits the tongue on first taste, then a hint of the coriander with a somehwhat refreshing aftertaste.

M- A nice body to this beer. It lingers over the tongue

D- I could probably knock back a few of these but there are much better versions of this style out there.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle.

Color is light straw. While pouring it is almost water or lemonade like. Less than a half finger thick off white bubbly head that fades pretty soon. Just about fine lacing. Some bubbles.

Aroma is of Belgian yeast and wheat beer. Some sweetness and some tartness. Strength is good.

Taste is a nice blend of wheat sweetness, Belgian yeast smoothness and drying tartness. Finish is dry.

Mouth feel is very light. Lighter than lagers may be. Smooth as hell. Very easy to drink. Moderate carbonation.

Not my favorite style. It's easy to drink, but not complex enough for me. Your basic White/Wheat Ale.
