An inspiration from the beer country, our Belgian Witbier is a good representation of this classic style. A combination of coriander and citrus peel provides a pleasant tart-lemon aroma and orange-citrus flavor. This beer is refreshingly crisp and perfect for those hot summer festivals.

A very mild drink to close out the old year...

I found this to be neither great nor bad, pretty much middle-of-the-road. This is something that would work during the warmer months but for today, due to the can art, I found this to be reasonably solid...

I could fill this space with lots of lofty language to impress or confuse the reader. Instead I'll sum up the review with this declarative statement: "MMMMMmmmmm." In other words, "I like this beer and I will buy some more."

Had at Southbound Tap House, Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), on draft into pint tumbler.

The color is a bit too gold and the clarity is surprising. The aroma is mild but on-style with Belgian yeast and orange peel. The flavor is likewise on style, but likewise muted.

Cloudy golden color, white head, some lacing; Citrusy aroma, good tangy mouthfeel; Pleasant citrusy flavor. A tasty Belgian white, certainly as good as any of the widely available big name Belgian white beers

Delivers on what it promises...mostly. It's a good wit that doesn't break any new ground. Banana and clove notes, etc. I'm not sure I would buy that often if it were available where I live.

On tap at Piano Bar, ATL.
Hazy sunshine w/white crust. 4

Saltines, a little lemon Italian ice hit, and herbal bite to end. 4
Soft, light, creamy. 3.75

Good for getting in the wheaty smoothness + a touch of citrus over coriander and yeast character. Thin + lacks a bit of snap but damn, is it silky. Would kill in the summer. The best kind of easy. 3.75

I like this Wit but noticed a strange peanut smell on the nose and then a peanut taste at the very front when I take a sip... I'm not sure what it is that creates this smell but I was surprised... otherwise a nice Wit beer... slightly heavy on the body but other than that a nice beer for the style

Poured from 12oz can into a wheat beer glass. Smell and taste is tart and acidic orange peel, spicy coriander with a nice grainy wheat finish. Mouth feel is very light and smooth with a little bit of acidic aftertaste.

From the growler, it pours amber with a vibrant fluffy white head, pleasing to the eye. Unremarkable to the nose overall. Very pleasant taste with just a touch of spice. Enjoyable!

12 oz can with no date :( poured into a snifter. Cloudy bright yellow with fat white bubbles forming a one inch head that dissipates fairly quickly. Nose is orange, coriander, and lemon. Taste is pretty much identical. Watery and very light. I'm not a big fan of wheat beers but for those that are this is pretty good. Cheers!

Overall, fairly solid for a wheat bear. It's not too yeasty or sweet. It has a bit of sour / dryness on the back end, which is unexpected but pleasant.

A: Cloudy golden yellow color with pillowy white head, good lacing

S: Malts, spice, earthy yeast smell classic to the style

T: Sweet malts up front, spivey clove, or maybe coriander, earthy yeast

M: Medium to light

O: Real pleasant surprise. My local beer store just got this in not too long ago and I am a sucker for something local so I gave it a shot. So glad I did. A real solid offering in this style.

Pours a glowing medium straw if poured carefully, opaque straw if not or swirled at the end, producing 1.5 fingers of white, short lived, foamy head that leaves no lace above the surface collar ring after settling but delivers a soapy wash as you drink. Aroma is wheat, pale malt & yeast, citrus & coriander with spice & earthiness detectable that may be from the Saaz hops. Taste is wheat, white bread, yeast, coriander, sherbet-like flavors of orange & lemon, coriander with moderate pepper spice, an earthy & faint dry grass hoppiness, eith a hint of chalk in the finish. Coriander, lemon/orange, pepper & a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste that becomes more bitter on the back of the tongue and rear palate overtime. The hint of chalk is slightly distracting. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation, creamy & a little silky with a nice prickle of peppery spice.

Poured out a hazy, golden color with a small off-white head. It smelled of coriander, spices, yeastiness and wheat. Lemon, coriander, spice and cracked wheat. There is a touch of yeastiness. It was crisp and smooth.

Served on tap, this wit seems rather like a saison? A moderate amount of yeast flavor dominates the aroma and flavor of this ale.
Cloudy, yellow amber with a semi-durable white head.
Spicy, especially the flavor. More subtly fruity.
Slightly bitter balance.

A: Had this beer on-tap at Gene's Haufbrau, poured into a pint glass. Had a golden yellow color and a clear texture. There was a half inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. OK lacing.

S: A somewhat muted aroma of spices, yeast, and malt.

T: There's a bit of citrus (orange), coriander, and wheat in the flavor, but it's too frontloaded, leaving nothing for the finish. Mainly, it's just overly thin and kind of watery.

M: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth, yet thin finish. Light-bodied.

O: Certainly not the greatest example of a witbier one could try. It's simply too weak to work.

This beer was a welcome surprise. I usually go for pilsners/lagers ( Stella, Peroni, Beck's ). After being introduced to wit beers in Belgium (Corsendounck, Achel, and Achouffe ) this beer lacked the olde world flavor but was remarkably interesting. You will first notice the cloudy body and nearly a visible head. It goes down like a Blue Moon with understated spice tones. Go for it!!
