Before you slip into the night, you'll want something to drink. Picture of Nectar is the perfect complex beer with a huge pine and citrus hop profile sure to satisfy your craving. Our Double IPA brewed with elderflower and peaches has notes of stone fruit and a distinct verdant bitterness. It has an underlying herbal fragrance and a flavor that is reminiscent of honey and flowers. This unapologetically assertive brew is bursting with flavor and is perfectly pleasing to the palate.

The aroma and smell is hoppy, bitter, and sweet with underlying herbal tones. Definitely a unique beer. The peach and honey come through up front followed by the flowery earthiness.

A: Hazy burnt orange, large off white head, good lacing
S: I get a floral to piney hop smell, peach, caramel, honey
T: Sweetness right up front, gives way to the hoppy bitterness with a sweet pleasant aftertaste. I get the peaches, piney floral hops, and a nice caramel honey maltiness.
M: Medium
O: Really pleasant double ipa that hides its abv well. A really nice fragrance and taste.

Howler filled at CoMo Growlers & Pints. Poured a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled floral with notes of honey. Sweet caramel, honey, peach with a touch of bitterness. Easy drinking DIPA.

Poured from a can into a snifter. A clear golden-orange color with a modest off-white head. Definite stone fruit on the nose with peaches, tangerines, faint floral notes, and honey. The first sip brought IPA-like bitterness for a split second but quickly overtaken by the fruit and sweetness from the honey. The floral notes were there but the taste was dominated by the peaches. A bit too sweet for me on the finish. ABV was hidden well.

how awesome is this! a double ipa (and a great one) with peach and elder flower added. super neat ingredients in a juicy ipa like this, and a cool and original recipe for sure. this beer is an ipa first, which i think makes good sense, not too much sweetness from the peaches or bitter floral elements from the flowers to cover up the hops and make this more of a flavored ale than an ipa. i appreciate that. its a little sweet, oily hops, some tropical fruit to it for sure, orange and pineapple, but not too much, and still with plenty of bitterness. i think the added ingredients make this memorable though. the peach is ripe and authentic and comes on right behind the first hop burst, but doesnt overstay its welcome. the elder flower is more subtle, adding a tea-like bitterness later on with the hops, and giving the whole thing a deceptive floral lightness about it, you forget its as strong as it is pretty easily. the other thing i love about this is that its in cans. a lot of breweries would put a beer this interesting and good in a ten dollar bomber, so i greatly appreciate this format! these guys are making some really inventive and high quality stuff, and this is my favorite i have had from them so far! such a cool direction to take a double ipa!

12 oz can with a BB date of 15 May 2017 served in a lager glass.

Slightly hazed amber body with a semi-durable head. Ample sticky lacing.

Aroma: very fruity with suggestions of over-ripe nectarines, pine, and vague citrus.

Flavor: moderately strong with a nice, subtle use of elderfower, and even more subtle nectarines. Both piney and fruity, but more the latter. Some subtle bready malt base apparent. Distinct taste.

Overall: a distinct DIPA with well hidden alcohol; this drinks like a 7% ABV APA, excepting the mouthfeel.
