500ml bottle poured in to a nonic glass, No dating.
Look- Hazy dark amber color. Solid off-white head that slowly recedes to a thin cap, nice lacing. moderate carbonation streams visible.
Smell- Heavy caramel malt, pithy citrus (grapefruit and lemon), caramel malt, resinous pine and floral/spicy hop notes.
Taste- Similar to the aroma. Citrus, resinous pine, sweet malts with a aggressive lingering hoppy bitter finish. Fairly well balanced.
Feel- Medium bodied, pretty crisp. Medium carbonation on the tongue.
O- A pretty text book rendition of a PacNW DIPA. Nothing overly spectacular.

Dark orange amber color with lower than average foam. Some prickles on the tongue, but it seems undercarbonated. Sweet and woody taste. I didn't immediately think of this as a Double IPA on the first few sips. It's bitter, with a melange of fruit flavors.
Orange marmalade is the main one. A hiint of mango but mostly grapefruit peel finish. Dark and dankish. This is quite interesting in a murky sort of way. Not my favorite DIPA lately but unusual. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Special Brews in Lynnwood.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium to dark bronze amber with a one finger off-white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and piney hops with a little dankness and peppery spice. Flavor follows, with caramel malt, citrus and piney hops finishing with a quite resinous piney, slightly dank finish with good lingering herbal bitterness. Medium bodied with a nice light creaminess. This is a quite nice caramel malt based imperial IPA. The hop combination is straight down the aisle Northwest style, which suites my tastes. This finish might be just a tad on the astringent side, but the malt is deep enough and the hops flavors are enjoyable enough that it carries it through. Looks great too. Always a pleasure when my first beer from a new brewery's is good enough to want me to try more, and this one does. Good choice for one of their first bottles.

Server out of growler from the hop and hound in bothell wa. Poured into a Big chalice glass.
A - amber color, darker than avg DIPA. About 1 finger foam, Great lacing, avg retention.
S - smells great, nuff said
T - hop and malts quite balanced, not overly bitter. Classic nw IPA flavor. Quite malty compared to others. Reminds me of tamed down boneyard hop venom.
M - fantastic. Med-full. Great carbonation from my 2 day old growler.
O - glad I got this. Very drinkable and dangerous. Hope I can share it later tonight cause killing a growler myself will result in a headache tomorrow.
