This rich, hearty stout carries roasty, chocolaty, and toffee flavors up through a pitch black pint capped with a mocha head. Just enough cascade late hops start to break through in the finish, only to be overshadowed by another rush of malty, dark, roastiness. The beer had an interesting aroma and taste that had me wanting more.

Bottom Line: If you ca get it, try's worth it.

Grateful Hands Brewing - Courage, poured into a Craftgeer snifter.

Look - Medium viscosity brown-black with a small one inch mocha head that dissipates quickly. Abundance of lacing.

Smell - Faint roasted malts, hard to pull aroma. Some sweetness comes out as it warms.

Taste - A full flavored semi-dry roasted malt taste. Quite simple but beautiful in its simplicity.

Mouthfeel - Rests charred/burnt woody malts. Light-medium body with medium carbonation. Not boozy at all. Good drinkability.

Overall - American Stouts are often quite boring nowadays compared to other style, but this solid offering from Cabot is an exception to the rule. This is a definite must try.

Poured from 22oz bottle into snifter.

Aroma: roasty malt dominates. some coffee.

Appearance: amlost no head upon pouring into glass. a little swirl yields a rich tan head but is not long lasting. Black but clear.

Flavor: Raosted malt flavor up front followed by a slight coffee. Mild to moderate hop bitterness is present. A little too much for my liking, but within style guidelines.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied, moderate carbonation level. smooth finish.

Overall: A full bodied, smooth stout. Very enjoyable beverage! Do not regret purchasing this one and would again if I had the opportunity.
