I would give this a for but for other reasons than just it quality. In my ratings I like to be fair and just. The reason I give it a 4 all around is because of the low price point. Other beers of the same quality cost significantly more. I think that this is wonderful for $9 in Connecticut. The look is blond maybe a 6 srm the smell is malty and sweet with a nice hit of pine. The taste is lighter than most doubles but that's a pluse cause alcohol is not really the first thing you taste. Its only down side is that it finishes with a poor mans beer after taste flat and boozy but then you take and bit and it's back down happy hop road. I wouldn't nurse this one I would drink it cold real cold. It really feels like just an IPA it's mellow and smooth. Overall it has its ups and downs but for the good price it's definitely and affordable double

Melon, orange, Grapefruit pith and pine. Fairly malt forward. From what I can tell, this was canned yesterday. It's really not that good. I guess it gets better as it warms, but not by much. tastes like its old. Ugh.

Golden pour with a sticky cap of bone-white foam that looks resinous. Aroma is strong - a dank hop mixed with booze. The flavor is similar with strong, sharp notes of booze and biting hops. A little bit of sweetness is present as well, but not the nice bready malt balance that I enjoy rather amplifying the alcohol's presence. Not sure if the can is old, all the 4pks available had blurred datestamps. As-is this was unbalance, booze-forward, and done-in-one. Not impressed.

This was something I was looking forward to and was so dissapointed. The grapefruit was way too strong and I had no desire to even finish the whole beer. I see what they were going for....but just struck out.
