A-Pours a cloudy pale straw color. Looks like Hefe or a Witbier. Thicker white head leaves long lacing stripes.

S-Very boring. I initially thought my order was wrong, it didn't look like an IPA nor does it smell like one too much either. Its really quite bland with some vague yeastiness and some defunct hops with grain.

T-Nope! Its missing so many things. Just a mixture of semi-off and unmemorable flavors.

M-If it doesn't taste very good how can it really feel that good?

Had from a bottle at the Mark Twain House beer festival in Hartford, CT. Poured into a pint glass. A nice American IPA with lots of Cascade hops in the smell and flavor. Light gold in hue with a thin white head. Smooth aftertaste and a solid IPA without being overly hopped. If you have a chance, try this!

A pale brown color with almost no sign of head, just a vague white ring, and minimal lacing. Almost no sign of bubbles here. The aroma suggests an anemic burnt caramel and peanut cracker. Weird and certainly far from any expectation for an IPA. The taste buds meet more of the same, mellow nutty malt with a mild leafy hop kiss. Sort of a limp caramel tea idea. Not real loveable for me and for an IPA the hops are just not prominent enough, or very tasty, and offer very little aromatic value. The body is about medium but the carbonation is lacking with a bit of a dull, limp feel. Not too exciting. I don't see this being a very successful endeavor and I will not revisit.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Pours medium dark amber with 1/2 inch white fluffy foam. Will lace a lot. Bready malt nose. Some bitter scent as well. Light caramel. Taste is full malty with a light bitter at the close. Some pine but buried below, Light on bitter, high on malt. Good blend.

Clearly I like this better than others on the site,

Had on tap at the Home restaurant in Branford back in late 2014. Poured into a pint glass. Interesting to drink this beer that was brewed at Hooker when the new Stony Creek Brewery is being built near by. Pours a lighter color of amber, near orange, not a lot of head. Smell is pretty malty and light, touch of hops. Taste follows suit, it's pretty bitter but the hop flavors don't come out much. Malt backbone is pretty prominent. Not a great IPA, similar to that of an old Harpoon IPA. Pass.
