We pour a brew of unpolished gold. It holds no head, and gives little stripes of lacing as the liquid disappears. Carbonation appears average, and there is complete translucency. The nose is full of corn and adjuncts. There is barley, hints of dirty, wet wheat, and copper. There is a limey sweetness cutting the bitters, with water and fusel alcohols on the far back. As we sip, there is cooling grain up front. It is relatively nondescript, but there are notes of sweeter, pale malts, and some coppery, more bitter grains. The middle peaks with a sugary sweet crest, which cuts the malts from view. There are faint notes of red apple and grapes, which bring us to the finish, where copper and metallic dominate. The grains permeate all corners of the mouth with flour and dried malt, affording room for little else. There are faint notes of plastic phenols, and cooling grassy, barnyard notes. With warmth there is a definite hop quality, for the balance. The aftertaste breathes of grassy hops, and coiny metals. The body is light to medium, and the carbonation is medium to high. There is a slick, cooling coat to the mouth, and a final astringency. The abv is appropriate, and the beer drinks easily for the style.

Overall, what we enjoyed most about this beer was the cleanliness of flavor, and the ultimate lightness about it. It is a refreshing brew, and stays light throughout. The flavor could stand to be refined, and the metallics could be cut down, but for the style this is an enjoyable drink.

Smallish head and darker golden, quite clear.
Aroma is at first grainy and the yeast.
Softer drying. Grainy taste but also sweeter than many. A bit bigger feel than typical. A soft herbal hop.
Reasonably refreshing (although maybe a little big).
I kinda like this.
Thanks Sten
