Update 5/08
Visited again 2/08. Name changed at some point from Woody John Bull to Woody Pub. Several draft selections from the Menabrea brewery and other Euro-craft brews such as Erdinger Weizen and several from Charles Wells including the tasty Dragon barleywine. Still a great local joint in Monza where the staff were super cool and got a kick out of my horrible Italian. Happy hour (aperativo) snacks rock and come along with the price of your drink. Like many places in Italy, you can seriously make a meal of this stuff - bread, coppa, prosciuto, parmegiano, olives, etc. Love this place!
A beer bar in Italy, for the most part, is a relative term/concept. With that in mind (and even without) this is quite a nice place to knock back a few pints. If the name, John Bull, didn't tip you off, this is an English style pub (run Italian style of course). Any way you slice it, this is a cool and friendly place. Little English is spoken here (ironically?) so, if you know a little Italian it helps, if not, you can certainly make yourself understood. They serve Allsopp's and John Bull beers (now brewed by Ind Coope) and some bottled Euro brews along with some light pub fare. If you find yourself in Monza (near Milano), and you just might if your a Formula 1 or Super Bike racing fan, give this place a try. cin cin!
