Great beer. All of this company's beers are outstanding, so of course this one is no different. Highly recommend for any IPA fan. This suits the category perfectly. Until I had this beer, I had thought that Bell's 2 hearted ale was the best IPA. It's still very good, but this is better.

I got a bomber from batch #40 and loved it. The appearance showed sediment (which I love) and good head. Hophazardly featured a citrus, grapefruit nose with medium bitterness. The taste was great, featuring grapefruit and carmel. Proud that a new Chicago brewery put a legit double IPA!

On tap at the brewery this beer comes across very good. smaller head with a nice lacing staring me down with a semi west coast aroma. Light pine mixes well with ?, Light fruit, maybe tangerine, whatever it is exactly I don't care and I like it. The taste loses a bit of it, but i still liked it a bunch.

Picked this up at West Lakeview Liquors. Served in a taster glass at Tom's place.

A - Big white foam settles to a thick collar, leaving behind splotchy lacework. Hazed golden body.

S - Heavy on the marijuana; very dank and earthy, with nice complementary citrus zest, and grapefruit rind. A lightly crackery and bread malt backbone, but this one is all about the hops.

T - The taste is similarly hop-forward, with loads of bright citrus peel, pine, mild dankness, and light crackery and faintly sweet malt backdrop. Moderate bitterness that verges towards palate-bruising, but eases up before it gets there.

M - Medium body, pleasant carbonation, with a dry finish. No discernable alcohol, and lingering mouth-coating hop oils and resins.

D - Quite good. We killed the 22oz bottle quite quickly and I would happily purchased this again. I could probably do a bomber of this one on my own, although I'd still like to see more draft accounts from the third wave of Chicago brewers.

Poured from 22 oz bottle into a pub style glass

A - The body pours a warm gold. The head is fizzy and supported by a cascading carbonation bubbles. Good lacing.

S - Orange, grapefruit, flowers, and slight melon fruitiness.

T - At first, a bit of honey sweetness in the tip of the tongue. Then, a burst of citrus orange and mild tropical fruit flavor as the hops make their presence known. The hops change over the tasting to more of a grapefruit note. The finish is a good balance of dry, sweet, citrus, and bitter.

M - A delightful fizz from the carbonation and a medium, slightly creamy body.

O - A surprisingly great IPA that straddles the border of a DIPA. It's not the most outrageous or memorable hoppy beer, but the balance is outstanding.
