I got this beer out of a self made mixed six pack from Super Target in Frisco. It poured a clear copper with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had pine and citrus flare. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tropical fruit presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.

Bottled date 4/7/17, so I don't expect much from this. Pours a slightly hazy orange-yellow color with a 1/2 finger width foamy head. Head retention is good. Lacing is very good. Citrus aroma with some stale piney bitterness. Very malty flavor. Bready with slight citrus and strong, stale, piney bitterness at the end. Seems boozy. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Has a hazy golden color due to the unpasteurized brewing. It didn't smell good, had a spoiled quality. Surprisingly, the taste wasn't bad, a little harsh, with little malt flavor. It has good carbonation and finishes very dry. Not something I could drink often.

I've had a few Revolver beers recently and some of them are really unique and others are not so much. But good brews nonetheless.

This IPA is actually pretty good but it's not an IPA i'd go to if I wanted one. First of all it's priced above some other flagship IPAs, so you'd really need to be a fan to get this one. Example: it runs for about $11 where I am at, for this price I can get Torpedo from Sierra Nevada for cheaper, or Stone, or just anything else really.

With that said. This IPA is "safe", because it doesn't really stand out in any major way. It's not bad but it's not really exceptional. It is also on a malty side. When it gets a little warmer, you can really feel it. I honestly don't think that it's as refined as other IPAs of similar price.

Again, it's not bad by any means, it's just not worth it at this price point. For those wondering, give it a try, it's solid, just don't expect anything mind blowing. Which is actually odd to me. Revolver has Blood & Honey and Sidewinder. Both of these are non traditional ales where they weren't afraid to experiment and throw in some extra ingredients. I wonder why they made this IPA so bland?

On draft. Appearance is deep copper, clear, with a moderate white head and nice lacing. Aroma: Almost nonexistent out of this shaker pint. A touch of toasted malt and citrus hop. Taste: Bready, slightly toasty maltiness, with a strong resinous bitterness and a touch of orange peel citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a low to moderate carbonation. Finishes with strong lingering resinous bitterness. Overall: lends itself more toward an English IPA with a bready/toasted maltiness and a resinous bitterness, but doesn't seem to have the malt depth and is more aggressively bitter than a true English version of the style
