This store has changed. I've been there a few times in the past two years .The craft section used to be larger and more accessible The store is congested and the the isles are narrow.

They have a real nice rewards program, have some very good releases. They really care about craft beer and they have a selection that rivals any other store in the burbs (besides binnys). This is my go-to place. Also, they sell singles from sixers, which is a nice plus.

My go-to Local Craft Store. Great selection. Knowledgeable staff. All bottles for sale individually. Great close-out clearance deals.

This place has gone downhill the past year, so much old stock, they even have Arcade beer and old stone enjoy by. I used to spend so much money there and usually only there. I go in and get more and more disappointed, now I take my money somewhere else.

Lots of good stuff and lots of old shelf turds.

The owner(s) are pretty clueless.

Tip: bring some bubble wrap, cause they'll smash as many beers as possible into a thin plastic bag.

After seeing all the high ratings here I put this place on my to-do list, and happened to be in the area today and checked it out.

In 2007, I remember stopping at this liquor store after Autumnaldave's BA gathering at Lunar. I wandered in after seeing it from the train station. Skullsplitter and Hacker Pschorr were the most exotic beers here at the time. True story.

The store really doesn't look like much from the outside, located in a run-down little strip mall building. Inside it's a standard fluorescent light and tile floor affair, but with new shelving literally bursting with craft beers. Beermenus lists some 1400 beers, though many I noticed they didn't actually have on the shelf.

The clerk said hello when I walked in, but silent until I rang up a few bombers 20 minutes later. At the counter I was briefed on their membership program, which apparently involves a cash back program (very cool) and a members-only exclusive on rare beers that come in, which i'm not really a fan of. They seemed pretty democratic about the membership thing, which was free. One peeve I had was that they just dropped a few bombers into single plastic bags, no paper sleeves or double bags.

The extensive selection is very heavy on new local breweries, many of which the jury is still out on. A good selection of seasonals. There was no Half Acre which was odd, considering the 3 dozen Pipeworks beers on the shelf. Also a dozen apiece from Solemn Oath, Only Child, Flesk, 31st Ward, Hailstorm, Spiteful, etc. etc. Import selection was pretty thin, limited to Sam Smith, Innis & Gunn, BrewDog, and Unibroue mainly. Who knows how long stuff has been sitting on the shelves, so check dates. It reminded me of Capones, with cases of random $10 local bombers stacked high on the floor.

Overall this is a good spot in Villa Park for craft beer, with a very extensive selection of Illinois breweries.

’ve been to many Craft Beer stores in the area and this place is my TOP spot to go for Craft Beer. They have a very large selection of local Craft Breweries and plenty of out of states ones also.

The Service is great the staff is very knowledgeable and the owners are very friendly and always willing to help.

This place is located right across the Ardmore Train Station and has plenty of parking and the best part is they are open late.

This store also carries plenty of hard to find Craft Beer. Today (10/29/14) I went in to look around to see if they had anything new in. To my surprise they had boxes of Krispy Karl from 51st ward in (one of my favorites) and a few other surprises (Regular Biscotti Break, PW Citra, and Ivan the Terrible). These guys are always getting in stuff that not many other stores in the area get including Binny’s. They also do single bottle sales from six packs and four packs.

The Pricing on the beer is AWESOME! Compared to other non-chained liquor stores.

Well to make it short instead of typing away,

This store is my go to place when I’m looking for Craft Beer, you can’t beat the service and most importantly THE SELECTION and PRICING. They are conveniently located near a train station (right next door) and off a major road (North Ave.) The parking is great they have their own lot and I don’t have to fight for parking like some of the other Craft Beer stores in the area.

If you are new to the area or from out of town. Definitely check this place out!

Nice guys and great selection. Most of the IPA's were out of code and they said they keep the good stuff in the back for regulars only.

These guys are really good people. I definitely recommend them. They carry many of the hard to find Local Craft Beers, and they really will go the extra mile. They are conveniently located right across the street from the Villa Park, IL train Station, so it is an easy stop if you are looking for that special beer. A not so hidden jewel that many have yet to discover!

This is an alright shop. I used to go here more but not as much anymore. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly and the have a pretty good selection and don't overcharge. I have a few problems with the place though.
1: If you are not a regular they do not treat you nearly as well.
2: I often feel as though they are trying to pressure me to buy more or come back more often
3: The shelves are full of old beers
4: During the summer the shop was hot and smelled pretty bad
5: I've noticed they will leave old nvu on the shelf and keep the fresh stuff they just recieved in back

The guys that own this place are amazing. They have the best customer service skills out of any store I have ever visited. They are engaging, knowledgeable, and will go the extra mile to earn your business. I have recommended this place to a couple of my friends and they now buy all their craft beer from Ardmore. They have 600+ craft beers and always help me out with exclusive releases and give me the heads up on when I need to come in to get them. These guys are text book perfection when it comes down to customer service and I wish them the best of luck in their future business endeavours.
