Yields a pale, hazy yellow with a huge head on top.

Bursts of flowery, fruity aromas right after cracking the can open. This has an orange fruit sorbet quality up front, enhanced by lemon zest and lots of oranges. This initial fruitiness gets toned down by wild flowers, cactus juice and more lime rind, creating an utmost intriguing aroma profile on the nose. In difference to the Konkey Dong, this offers a spicy, slightly herbal wheat quality, which comes along perfectly atop the fruitiness.

Drinks creamy and utmost soft, fluffy lupulus pillows unfold on the palate. This offers a sparkly effervescence after the swallow, going hand in hand with a lively hop bite.

Tastes of mango, wet grass, bread dough and lots of juicy limes. Begins mellow, timid, with a cozily unfolding hoppiness, which gains power from fresh squeezed limes. Offers kiwi, blueberries and oranges at the back end with a maintaining softness and a subtle, bitter lime aftertaste.

A well made double Ipa, benefitting from its great balance, smooth mouthfeel and diverse hop profile.

good look but lacking in the rest relative to the classics.
flavor and smell don't jump out of the glass. Everything seems muted.
Wouldn't seek out, but it is a good beer. Just being judgmental relative to the TH /Trill stuff.
Good brewery tho.

Attempting the impossible, the brewers at Hoof Hearted weave together the flavors of heavy oats, tropical hops, citrus hops and a strong barley counterpart with an imperial IPA of the highest difficulty. Subtlety is not its strong suit.

Wangbar pours with the appearance of heavy creamed eggnog with a butter hued creaminess. A slow froth separates from the beer with a lathery meringue. A radiant perfume wafts over the senses with waves of tropical, citrus, herb and melon.. But to taste, its the creamy and subtle cereal character of the beer that sings a pastry and key lime sweet tune.

And as the hops blossom on the middle palate, the citrus flavors of lemon, white grapefruit and tangy oranges radiate from the hops. A slowly receding malt gesture allows the hops to tighten and become more earthy, spicy and bitter on the finish. Laces with the succulent tang of mango, passionfruit, pineapple and apricot, a creamsicle culmination comes to mind, but with the grassy, piney and herbal bitterness that's somewhat cannabis-like.

Medium bodied and dangerously drinkable, the beer goes down really easy. Its spicy bitterness comes with a sense of pine needles, botanical grasses, lemongrass and hemp. Spicy resins tease the finish with a crisp and clean finish of pleasantly grassy sherbet and slight hit of vodka spice on the after palate.

This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a pale hazy grapefruit rind color with a thin finger-ed white foamy head that dissipated nicely. Semi-sticky lacing clings on one side of the glass. The smell takes in subtle danky onion laying down a dry bitter to sweet oaty take over some sweet citrus pulp. The taste was basically the same bringing about the bitterness a bit stronger in the citrus. Definitely a dry bitter aftertaste and really dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable feel to it. Leans probably more towards a sipping feel. Bitterness feels good. Overall, its a pretty good DIPA, definitely a dry one. I could see myself coming back to this.
