Pours a hazy turbid bright straw yellow to light orange. Bright soapy white head. Nose is a tropical fruit bouquet. Hints of pinnaple and mango. Taste juicy. Pinnaple, mangos and ripe melon. A bit of light pine needle in there to break up the fruitiness also a well balanced malt presence to it. Lighter on the body than was to be expected. Missing that creamy mouthfeel I thought it might have. Comes of a bit thin but because of that it is super easy to drink dipa. Not going to hard on mouthfeel because it's very delicious and well balanced that the thinner mouthfeel on this beer does not detract from its brilliance. If anything it's a positive, making this a session DIPA ;) if it weren't for that pesky 8%

L - now that's my kind of haze. Orange and gold, murk and sunshine at the same time. Solid all the way through with a fluffy head that settles on top. Holds its character quite well when jostled. Reminds me of chickens, really. Something about gyroscopic stabilization. I move and rotate the glass, but the head stays in the same spot holding the same shape!

S - orange cream right off the blocks. Many of these so called "New England Style" IPAs have a similar aroma, but the orange leans more to the acidic, bitter, rindy side. What we have here leans to the sweet sweet cream. Aw yis. The sweetness lends itself toward a danker stickiness. Pineapples and orange sherbet. Tropical. Some slight crabgrass dryness toward the end.

T - tropical hop explosion heavy on the sweet dankosity (is that a word? It is now). Overripe fruits galore, pumped full of sugar thanks to the 8% boozeosity. Mango, orange, pineapple. The flavors are mellow but commanding. Soft, like being strangled by Andre the Giant after exfoliating his palms. The guy who sent this to me (Sabtos my man) was quick to point out the similarities to Orange Julius. I couldn't agree more. Reserved on the bitterness until the end, buoyant flavors seamlessly merge into each other again and again, back and forth, ending in a creamy menagerie of juiciness I would not expect from a beer other than a certain other NE brewery famous for their NE style IPAs. Again getting some herbal grass on the finish. A drying pine that doesn't linger for long. When all is said and done there's a light numbing bitterness and sticky chops eagerly anticipating the next sip!

F - soft and lovely. Creaminess. Low carbonation and high alcohol work together to create the fluffy cloud upon which this magnificent ape sits.

O - I have no idea what donkeys or kongs or konkeys or dongs or Nintendo has to do with this beer, but I'm glad either way. Wait, I see the dong now. It's slowly rising up into view the more I drink this brew!

This is quite possibly the highest rating I've ever given. Look folks, I've had the big IPAs in the game. I know where the bar is set. And I'm here to tell you, this is a sleeper... truly incredible. Pours a super cloudy light gold with a firm, light head. Nose is what I can only imagine some remote beach of New Zealand smells like. Taste is a kick in the face of citrus, tropical fruits, mainly pineapple, accented by a creamy yet crisp mouthfeel. At 8% ABV and in pint cans... what's not to love about this? Could be a perfect IPA. Donkey Kong on the label too, like whoa. This beer is the embodiment of "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys.

I love INTENTIONAL orange juice look and haze here. The smell is a fruity dank mixture I can't get enough of. The bitterness to aroma/flavor level is almost perfect. Right up there with Roller Blabe as one of Hoofy's best!

Acquired from CapCollector16 so a big “Thank You” goes out to him. Poured from a 16oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains strong floral hops, fruity citrus and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of fruity citrus and caramel followed by a strong floral hops bitterness. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Very crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Very tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, strong kick, very good representation of style, this is a very solid 2IPA to drink for a long time.

This is easily the best looking beer I've ever seen. Looks like pineapple/orange Tropicana juice with a nice creamy head. Huge tropical IPA fan (I.e Julius, heady topper and dinner) this is now my all time favorite IPA. Taste is perfect amount of bitter hops with huge pineapple orange flavors. Only complaint would be that the mouthfeel is a bit thin and could use slightly more carbonation. A+ beer by hoof hearted.

Pours murky pale gold with a quarter-inch head that remains as a ring and cap on top and leaves thick spits if lace. The smell is a powerful combination of citrus and tropical fruit. The taste follows with orange, tangerine, pineapple and mango with a subtle dry bitterness on the finish. Full texture with medium carbonation. Like Juicy Fruit gum in a glass. World class.

Updated 10/6/2015 after first canning run.
After switching to the Conan yeast, this has become my new favorite Hoof Hearted DIPA. Straight pineapple juice with the beautiful haze that is so popular among the New England IPAs. These guys are killing it right now and it's no surprise people are finally starting to take notice.

This is my favorite hoof beer I have had. It pours a honey color with good carbonation. The smell is mango and pineapple. The taste is all of that and a bag of chips. It is so easy to drink and the taste is perfect. You don't get the yeast burn that some hoof beers have given. Did get a little indigestion from it but this was one of the best hoof beers I have had. Really happy to have gotten to try this and will save some of my other cans for later. Great work!

very good - not great.
Good representation of style but not comparable to the TH best or Trill.
A little thin. Flavor is good but the mouthfeel is slightly lacking.
I'd drink any day but it's not worth seeking out time and time again. Especially considering how hard it is to get.

16 Ounce Can into a Belgian Tulip.

Small Brewery still touching on that "Home Brew Aesthetic" realm. Let's get with the Beer! For starters, I love a Raw and Unfiltered Brew. This thing is pouring Like Orange Juice baby! (With Carbonation Though). Deep and Murky Body with that tint of Wheat and unpasteurized Honey. Nice pillowy Crown of White Foam..with decent Lacing. This brew looks Bombin!

Let's get it in with the Aroma! This brew slaps your face with Deep Pineapple and Orange Citrus..maybe a hint of Coconut? This brew smells like a Piña Calada, all jokes aside. Some Lemon in there too with a hint of Ripe Peaches. This brew is off the charts!

Flavor time Muvs! First hits with that Honey sweetness then Double Penetrates your palate with Oranges and Pineapples! I love this Abuse! Secondary flavors flow fourth after this Fruit assault, guess what? More Fruit! Un-Ripe mango shows up and is ready for action and he has Wood! I mean that Resinous wood finishes this Hop Rape. The brew closes aight, neither dry nor full, meh. Slight bitterness brings some comfort for the Juice like quality this brew brings to the plate. Aftertaste is rich and fruity with oranges, pineapples, mangos and a touch of lavender floral. The feel of this brew is Medium-Light with some chalky Texture. Carbonation is actually pleasant and helps the flavors to pop on the Palate.

Overall: This brew is Bangin. I wish I had easier access to this brew, I'd be skull-raping it Daily. It's a bit Rough around the edges yet is satisfying my BSDM fantasies tonight... This is up there with some of the North-East power House IPA/DIPAs. Again this brew is one to seek out, really enjoyed it. This Brew is Recommended!
