Poured into a pint glass. A hazy pale yellow color with a modest white head. The aroma was Mosaic to me, with berry and tropical notes dominating and faint citrus in the background. Taste was more complex with oranges, strawberry, blueberry, and herbal/grassy flavors. A soft feel with sneaky soft bitterness if that makes sense. Overall flavorful but nothing popped - just OK.

I don't remember asking for extra pulp. Yet as the turbid austere of Hoof Hearted brewer's hoppy beer shifts to the pale ale, its heavy hop influence is felt. More in line with IPA than the classic American pale ale, this may be the only way that the style survives. Pale is dead, long live the pale!

Golden yet opaque, the muddy beer sheds a creamy white froth and a host of citrus and tropical aromas. Grapefruit, pineapple and under-ripened mango play on the now while a soft and biscuit sweet taste introduces to the initial palate, along with faint honey, caramel and confectioner's sweetness.

With the sweetness dissolving rapidly on the middle palate, it invites a hop onslaught to ensue. Pink grapefruit juices, orange juice, pineapple, mango and passionfruit provide a tropical fruit punch character with a bitter sherbet-like follow up. Citrus peel and tropical fruit rind give the final flavors a strong bitter balance with a tangy, tart character that shows how well the hops sell their citrus fruit with seemingly citric acid character.

Stemmy, leafy and slightly vegetal, the medium-bodied beer is supported with a cream sickle sweet and tart interplay. Drying hops and moderate alcohol is cooling to the palate, becoming almost minty while the bitter fruits provide a long-lasting grip on the gullet.

super fluffy, super white topping! like the other guy said, "thick yet watery". another was 'sherbet'. awesome! bitter hops. orange juice. pineapple. definitely vegetal. definitely interesting. i wonder why they are not on the 'legendary' scale like treehouse or trillium yet....?

Thanks to Bpfahl for this 16 oz. extra, with no canning date on it. C’mon, boys.

The pour is a clouded light yellow, & I find myself wondering about the last time I had more than one new “clear” IPA in a calendar month. Ribald bubbles. Nose of orange rind & lemon zest – spicy & tart. Interesting.

Are We Having Fun Yet? is certainly interesting. Very yeasty, following up the tart, lemon zest nose with more of the same up the tongue area. Orange, citrus, with a phantom of bitterness on the finish. Terrifically dry. The strength is the ease with which this glides down the throat, like an alcoholic vesion of K-Y Jelly.

Odd beer. I like category busting, but this is something else. Pretty good?

Served on tap at the brewpub for opening weekend. It's their typical turbid appearance, with great citrus and tropical fruits throughout the aroma and aftertaste. This went down was very easily, and I wished I had ordered a larger pour.

1 PINT can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass

This beer pours yellow and turbid. It is topped with a couple inches of creamy, off white head that leaves some nice lacing.

The aroma is grapefruit and focuses on citrus.

The taste is more citrus than tropical fruit for me. I get a lot of grapefruit. The finish is bitter grapefruit.

Medium mouthfeel

This is a pretty flavorful pale ale.
