I'm having this after a KBS so it may suffer in comparison but I'll do my best.

A very dark brown pour into a DFH tulip with a finger of a light tan head that faded quickly. Smell of roasted malts and chocolate that's replicated in the taste but with a slightly off element compared to KBS. Sorry but it's just there and I'd be lying to ignore it. Mouthfeel was just fine.

This is a fine Russian Imperial Stout.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a fluffy khaki head that falls leaving nice retention and lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Hints of cocoa and marshmallow. The flavors are bold and roasty with a solid bitterness to it. Lots of dark chocolate. Some chocolate syrup in the mix. Some mild and subtle hints of coffee. Some hints of almonds and nuts as well. Solid malt backbone. Alcohol goes unnoticed for the most part. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's pretty smooth and easy to drink.

This is a nice imperial stout. It's basically your traditional example of the style. It's not flashy, but it's not boring. It's enjoyable and fun to drink. I like it. Well done.

Ah, another nice Russian Imperial Stout to mix things up. My gout isn't happy, but my palate sure is.

It pours black with the finest lacing. The aroma is strong with hops and all kinds of sweet overtones. Nice. The taste is thick and dark with loads of malts and tons of who knows what making things kind of herbal. It works and is more drinkable than many. I had a couple yesterday (and felt quite good afterwards, thank you).

Recommended. A good value (I wonder if that will change once it is popular).

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This fine Columbus brew pours a coal
black with a nice head of tan foam that dissipates to a thick ring, thin layer,
and showcases some nice lacing. Nose of subtleties---light coffee, light cocoa,
and moderate notes of herbal and pine hops. Flavors expand on the thesis and
open to a fine dissertation on medium dark chocolate notes lightly touched with
char elements, dark coffee, and a herbal and lightly bitter pine note that becomes
more pronounced with warmth with subtle black strap molasses and dark raisin notes.
Very nice body; medium full mouth feel; medium light carbonation that is lively and very
nice at breaking the heft of the brew, and a rich bitter malt and herbal hop laden finsih
that is welcome and inviting for the style.

Overall, a FANTASTIC brew worthy of the North High moniker with a lightly hoppy American
twist.

Cheers
