Rise - like the Herb Alpert song, or like bread (mine never wants to). It's actually a great North High IPA. It's a great AIPA that tears a seam right down the middle of all the variants of the style.

It pours a little darker and less hazy than its trendier competition. That's OK with me, I hate fake cloudiness. None of that here. It has a nice little AIPA head. That aroma is not nearly as pungent as the last two IPAs I had, but it isn't supposed to be a giant bomb of a brew. It has a mild funky hops smell. The taste is similarly right down the middle, with a nice (American style) balance, and the aftertaste is a nice burp that feels like more alcohol than it is.

Recommended. Popularly priced too.

I got a six pack of this from my local meijer. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had dank hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with floral hop spice presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.
