Poured this American IPA from a bottle into a pint glass. Poured a hazy copper color, produced a decent white head, decent retention, slight lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma of the AIPA is dominated by orange citrus hops and sweet malt. The taste of this AIPA is medium in body, has a backbone of fresh baked bread, bitter citrus hops, sweet throughout and finishes dry. Decent AIPA its just not great...I just had a New Holland Mad Hatter and it just does not compare. Decent session beer, overall not bad.

This brew poured out as a copper colored liquid with a foamy white head on top that has a light retention to it. The smell of the beer was lightly hopped, nothing too explosive on the nose here with some sweet malt in there. The taste of the beer could have used a little more bitterness I think but I understand that this is supposed to appeal to the more common beer drinker. The mouthfeel is pretty light bodied. Overall this beer is average to me. I wouldn't have to go buy it again but if it was being offered I'd drink it.

A - Clear amber with cream colored bubbly head.

S - Not a strong aroma at all... really have to get your nose almost into the beer before you get some of the pine and floral notes. Nice hop scent just very faint.

T - Bitterness up front followed by some sweet fruity flavors like apple and a little peach and finishes with an extreme bitter bite.

M - Medium bodied with crisp carbonation extreme bite and aftertaste.

O - OK IPA. Have had worse, not sure if I would ever get this again though.

tulip glass

a - pours amber in color; slightly hazy with some streaming bubbles. forms a sudsy, two finger off white head that calms to a bubbly film. leaves big rings of lacing in the glass.

s - toasty malt and pine with faint citrus.

t - more of the nose. toasted malt backbone with pine needle hoppiness. faint grapefruit notes and a touch of honey sweetness. bitterness hangs on the tongue but not for very long. not super hoppy, but still well put together.

m - medium with the right amount of carbonation.

o - pretty standard style wise and very drinkable. there are a few other big name ipas that i think i would choose this over. worth a try if you're into hops, just don't expect to be blown away.

Appearance: Clear orange color with a thin cream colored head

Smell: Caramel, malt, slight floral aroma

Taste: Sweet caramel malt, toasted flavor, slight hop, biscuity, very little bitterness

Mouth Feel: Creamy, very little bite

Overall: good beer, it may have been sitting in my fridge for too long, flavors were not bold but weren't too subdued.

This beer pours a slightly hazy gold with a thin head and no lacing. The aroma is of dough, grass, and citrus. The flavor is complex with grapefruit, lemon, and hoppy bitterness with some malt sweetness in the finish. The malt and hops mix well and the mouthfeel is medium. Dundee India Pale Ale is a good beer, not as dry or overwhelmingly bitter as some IPAs. Very drinkable and refreshing. Recommended.

Bought a 12-er mixed pack at Sprouts in Round Rock for just over 10 bucks...quite a bargain. I've never had a Dundee product, so I was a bit concerned, especially for the low prize.

A nice start...the pour was hard, head did not last very long, but there was some sticky lacing. I also liked the chestnut/caramel color...a good start.

Caught a slight whiff of earthy hops...maybe just a touch of sweet malt. Certainly nothing wrong here, just a bit subdued.

Hmm...not bad, not bad at all. Almost piney, astringent hop bite, sweet malt is a bit subdued, leaving this a little bitter. Flavor...yes, my favorite flavor for an IPA...no.

Not a bad experience at all. I've had worse IPAs, that's for sure. First beer from the mixed Dundee 12-er...a decent effort.

I love IPAs. They are one of my favorite styles of beer and I was super excited about trying this beer. When I poured the beer into the glass, I thought this beer was going to taste awesome because the color was a nice golden color and the head fades away fast. The taste on the other hand was not good. It really doesnt scream IPA to me other than the after taste. The mouthfeel is nothing special either. Just like a basic boring beer to me. Overall I am not impressed.

The looks are by far the best part of this beer. It poured a clear gold/amber with great white head and lacing.

The smell is a little piney but mostly of malt.

The taste fairly unimpressive for the style. A strange bitterness along with a good more than healthy amount of malt.

I would suggest skipping this one.

Bottle

Thanks for sharing Nathan!

Dark and clear auburn and orange with a small off-white head. Leaves little lacing down the glass. Looks thin and oily.

Sweet and bready malt character is front and center, with a mild inclusion of pine-forward hops, but only behind a sweet, toffee, and very malty aroma.

Relatively sweet IPA--lots of toffee, caramel, and a bit of syrup, along with a touch of floral, stinging hops and a bite of alcohol.

Thin to medium mouthfeel and somewhat oily and harsh.

A very average, though far too malty, IPA.

A - pale copper/orange with an off-white head that fades quickly and leaves little lacing

S - indistinct floral and citrus hops; some sweet caramel/bread inflected malt backing up the hops

T - mild for an IPA; hops seem to lack focus; malt profile is lean and hints at under-attenuation; the bitterness, while low, maintains itself through the moderate finish and provides a nice edge to the beer

M - mid-weight with moderate CO2; malt almost gets a little cloying

O - just okay; not bad, but there are a lot of IPA's ahead of it; looking at older reviews, it would seem that quality has slipped or I got a bad serving

It's been a while since I've had an IPA so I got in the mood for this one when I saw it was left over from a party.
Pours a light copper with a thin bubbly film.
Nose was very attractive. Not strong but very nuanced and tasty. Bright floral aromatics with pine, black pepper and some lemon zest.

Taste is once again very citric with mostly grapefruit and pine notes coming from the hops. A slightly sweet biscuity maltiness finished coarse and dry.

All in all this is a superbly drinkable IPA. I have'nt had this style much lately and I still did'nt get a real lot of hops from it.

If your looking to get somebody introduced to a light drinkable IPA here it is.
