Pours a dark amber color with a creamy off-white head. Plenty of lacing and carbonation also. Smells like lightly roasted malts, coffee, maybe even a little citrus. Initial taste is mild with hints of coffee, caramel and toffee. Aftertaste is mild black coffee. Overall a very solid brew, no overbearing favors. Would definately buy more

L- medium brown, slightly transparent
S- scent of coffee, chocolate, charcoal
T- first thing I noticed was the bitterness: more than I expected. Hint of coffee, very faint chocolate note
F- weird. Very carbonated, especially for a porter. Pretty thin too.

Nothing special. It's not bad, but really doesn't from any other porter I've had.

A- a dark brown with fairly small tan head.
S- getting dark chocolate and roasted malts. also the black licorice
T- very similar to the nose in taste. roasted malts and coffee flavor. alittle tart also
F- medium to light bodied, with medium carbonation.
O- pretty good porter in my mind. if you take the price into consideration id say this one is a go to in the colder months. I like the brews that come out of dundee

Reminded me so much of flying bisons lager with a bit more complexity. I swear I taste a hint of peanut butter in both brews, but I digress. It was weird because my buddy and I enjoyed the first one then the second one we had we both did not like. Not sure if that's a consistency issue or what. It wasn't terrible, but wouldn't get again nevertheless.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 12/9/2014. Pours crystal clear deep reddish brown color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toast, dark bread, light smoke/char, herbal, grass, light molasses/dark fruit, and herbal/roasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toast, dark bread, light smoke/char, herbal, grass, light molasses/dark fruit and herbal/roasted earthiness. Good amount of herbal hop/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toast, dark bread, light smoke/char, and herbal/roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and earthy hops flavors; with a nice roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a nice porter style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.
