A; a really light color, almost wateryl

S:light malt.

T: some hoppy aroma, some light maltiness. Reasonably carbonated, thankfully not too much. Very tasty for the style (maybe) but not my thing

M: and light, but with some flavorful after taste

Out of the sampler, this is by far the most drinkable

Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #42 (Jul 2010):

Dundee is branching out with their mixed 12-packs. This beer is clear and heady with a golden color and tightly cropped lace. Dusty biscuits, faintly fruity yeast and a vague note of honey are all in the nose. The crispness goes deep. Its light-ish body does get a fluff from the carbonation. With ample malt to go around, the hops are well placed, and its bitterness keeps the beer on an even keel. Spicy hops and a bite of grain are in the drying finish. Clean and spot-on, this is a highly drinkable light ale, which is comparable to the originals.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The bottle has no freshness date or abv% but there is a nice description of the beer on the back label.

Appearance: The body has a clean clear golden body with a few bubbles of carbonation streaming up to the head. The head on top is small, white in color and quickly fades down to just a thin layer of bubbles. There is not much in the way of lacing.

Smell: Its nose is light and clean with a light bready sweetness and even lighter fruity notes. The hops are also very mild and just a hint of vine like plant and floral notes.

Taste/Palate: The flavor has a clean, biscuity and bready flavor with just a hint of white grape like fruitiness. The hop flavor and bitterness are very subtle and lead to a crisp, light and dry finish. On the tongue it has a smooth light texture and easy drinking light body.

Notes: For an easy drinking light summery beer this will work.

The beer pours a light clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is grain and corn, with a little a bit of something off in it. Not a nice smelling beer. The flavor is also not too great. I get some corn and malt, as well as some sugary sweetness. There is a little bit of grape in the flavor, but it is overshadowed by the other grainy flavors. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not a beer to seek out.

Bright deep golden body, crystal clear hue with bright white head forms uneven lacing around the edge of the glass with each sip. Aroma semi sweet biscuit malts, nice bready layers form with a hint of herbal hops. Pretty tame with a hint of a copper penny or metallic note. Flavor, slightly fruit notes a bready malt character with lingering biscuit dough finish, slight metallic edge that doesn't come off offensive... I think it's something from the Rochester NY water, I tend toget a lot of this flavor from most of their beer. Mild herbal hops not much bitterness added to the mix. Mouthfeel is light bodied sturdy carbonation definitely forced, overall nothing offensive or spectacular. A nice sessionable pseudo craft brew from a stand up regional brewer that I happen to care for.

Bottle poured into a pint glass

Appearance: Clear yellow with a small layer of lacing around the top.

Smell: Honey and citrus.

Taste: sweet malt, honey, citrus, and a bit of hops. A nice zing from the alcohol at the end. I haven't had too many Kolsch style beers. This one isn't bad, it's not the best Kolsch I've had but it isn't bad. This beer needs more malt.

Drinkability: Nice session beer. This would be a great beer to have with diner.

An aggressive pour produced a substantial head that dropped to a partial ring after a few minutes.

Color is a nice deep gold, very slight carbonation.

Smells a little like a soapy lemon...Pretty sparse on the aromas.

Tastes somewhat bready..Mildly grainy with a mellow, dry finish. mouthfeel is just north of thin..It has a little body to it.

Not a bad warm weather brew..Seems low in ABV so you can put a few away without becoming loopy. Also isn't any worse for wear as it gets warmer..Still very drinkable.

pours lively, deep golden, settles fast, little lacing

wonderfully fresh, sweet malt smell that isn't bothersome like most 'sweet' noses i sample. dry 'finish' for a smell, but that's a bonus. something different and cereal-like. translates well into the taste, a drier finish than expected, crisp mouthfeel with some creaminess. great summer evening brew. waste your sweat on a lesser brew.

Straw-colored, very transparent, but a nice 2 fingers of white head.

Little smell, mostly yeasty scents, but I swear I picked up some pineapple.

Has a pleasant taste, and like the smell, I picked up notes of citrus.

Very refreshing in the mouth, no bitter aftertaste and not lots of carbonation to tickle the tongue, just a crispness to it.

A good medium-bodied beer; good taste, goes down easy making you want another.

A golden, light amber color. Smells sweet & sour, ester spice & a bit of phenolic aroma. A hint of liquor (whiskey/bourbon). Honey and sourdough bread (malty). Tastes a little sweet; syrupy. A little grainy; leafy. An easily noticeable presence of alcohol. Almost astringent. Feels crisp, with a semi-dry aftertaste. A hefty amount of carbonation.

Overall, a decent beer. At least worth trying out.

12 oz. bottle poured into a narrow 'pint' glass, showing a clear and pale straw in color and with a light cap of white foam. A steady percolation from the bottom keeps a light film for a while.

Nose of light pale malts and a hint of lemon hops. Adds some complexity with a bit of warming with some yeast notes and a variety of spices. Flavor is dry and offers a light spice character and just enough of a grainy texture to keep a full feel.

Decent drink though the spice notes become a bit overwhelming and seem a bit out of character. Think a 'spiced summer cooler' instead of 'winter warmer' and you've got it.

I found this beer to be almost perfect. As a drinker of lighter colored brews I have many options. I found this in a multipack at a Kroger store. Needless to say I had low expectations. I was amazed! I found this to be a fantastic bargain. It comes with all the drinkability of an adjunct beer, with all of the flavor that I would expect from a hand crafted brew. It was light yet filling. A flavor of spice and lemon. I give his a thumbs up.

Pours a clear golden straw color with a short wispy white head that settles into a light ring.

The aroma is malty sweet. Cereal grains dominate the aroma with a hint of honey/toffee. Hop aroma is minimal.

The taste is light with a bready/malty sweetness, perhaps some honey notes. Again, not much hops detected. There is a suble mineral character that adds some balance.

The body is light to moderate with fizzy carbonation. Its sweet on the palate but it is balanced. Drinks very easy and finishes quite clean.

Its a refreshing and easy drinking beer with no real flawed flavors. It seems less hoppy than most that I have tried for the style
