This one from the old days is alright. More for the girls I think with that honey sweetness. So-so but drinkable and not bad.

Truthfully, it has been a minute since I've had any of this beer. However, I used to drink the hell out of Honey Brown. Writing this is actually making me crave it. Might have to go pick some up. A truly tasty brew.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 7/20/2017. Pours crystal clear deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head wit good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of honey, brown sugar, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of honey, brown sugar, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of honey, brown sugar, bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice robustness and complexity of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Minimal dryness. Very clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and slightly slick/sticky mouthfeel that is good. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this was a good Amber lager style. All around good robustness and complexity of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the very mildly bitter finish. Clean, smooth, and flavorful dark/bready malt and honey flavors. Could have definitely used more hops, but there is nothing really wrong with it. A nicely enjoyable offering, and good style example.

Overall it tasted all right, that rich honey flavor; however, the overall feel was not impressive; in fact, I got a bit of a headache from it. I wanted to like this beer, because I like do like honey, and thought it would make a nice offering; however, it just didn't really do it for me. As inexpensive beers go this one is drinkable but their are better beers for the price.

Poured from a bottle into a glass.

Tawny gold to light clover honey colored. Moderate lacing and thin creamy head. Smells sweet with a hint of malts, but mostly a honey smell that's stronger than honey itself. Funky generic lager smell too. Taste is big on sweet honey. Finishes with a borderline sour twinge. Feels carbonated and a little slick. Sticks to the tongue some.

A nice dark brown larger with just the right of sweetness to balance it out.

This stuff is not too bad. It is a lot better than any of the other brews I have tasted from Genesee/Dundee Brewing Company. This was a bigger deal before the craft brews took over.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass at the Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is a clear amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is sweet malt and sugary honey. The taste is nice, but feels lije a processed flavor. not a bad beer at all.
