I drank a couple of these in a place where I shouldnt've been, served by a waitress who called me 'honey' and 'sweetheart'. I thought that I was going to get a Genny Cream Ale, but I went with it. 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

A- So light in yellow-straw color that I thought it had a hint of greenish hue. It did pour a decent head and even left some spotty lacing.

S- Clean the litter box, please!

T- Better than the smell. Some corn sweetness, a touch of maltiness (I think).

M- Quite light with a unpleasantly sour finish.

O- I've had worse, so I may even cross paths with this again. What the heck.

A: Pours a pale, clear yellow-gold color. The head is tall, with a fairly thick, frothy texture. Retention is mediocre, but there is a spattering of lace left along the glass.

S: Lightly grainy malt, with some mild citric/lemon soap twang to it. A bit of sweetness that surely portends adjuncts, but it's clean, nondescript, and inoffensive.

T: A bland grainy malt profile up front. Flavor is light, obviously. Again, a very faint note of bright, almost artificial lemon flavor that does come across as faintly soapy. Cooked corn grits for sure here, although they're pretty well masked considering there's not much in the way of flavor that can mask it.

M: Standard light body. Carbonation is perky without lending too much of a seltzery quality to the beer overall. The finish is on the dry, grainy side.

D: Beats the pants off of Bud Light and Coors Light. Actually cleaner and less blatantly adjuncty than regular Genesee. Still, not really much reason to seek this out. We had some left over from a party, so that's why I'm drinking it right now.

This beer is OK. Getting past the first few sips may be a struggle, but after that you can get into it. A pretty bitter beer with a malty taste. A pale amber color with a distinct, hoppy smell. Tastes pretty good once you get past the first few sips. Kind of watery, but still a fair representative of a decent beer. Fairly drinkable.

Allright here is the deal. Light Ales suck. We all know this. And at the moment i am eating some cheese and crackers. The light ale tastes good with cheese and crackers! This is one worth trying. Taste it on its own. Not that bad eh? yes light beer sucks, but I think this is the least of the suckiest. It doesn't taste like rotting chemical ass. The abv is only 3.6% but thats fine. I can do a 6 pack of the 16 ouncers and not feel much. Doesn't look the best. The label is heinous. But it isn't bad. and it is local.

A pale straw yellow color body with a quickly fading two finger head , lively carbonation . Aroma of corn beer , faint hops and something lightly sweet . Flavor is corny , straw and light hops , light body , watery mouthfeel , not too bad but nothing to remember .

For the price its solid, although super low in abv. It tastes kinda like corn, and cheap grain. Its on the sweeter side, extremly drinkable, very minimal flavor. but its better than Natty, Milwaukees level. I prefer highlife for budget beer. But its better than wasting money on Bud or Coors.

There are a lot of High Falls products finding their way into my refrigerator these days, usually they are Genny Red and JWD Pale, Amber and thier great Pale Bock. So, I figured I'll try anything from them, and to fill out my reviews, that meant Genny Light. So, here goes:

Into the glass with decent head that went away but left a thin white foam, with typical carb bubbles and light yellow color. Average. Dare I say this is an above average beer scent wise? Hard to explain, it has a corn scent, and no alcohol to speak of but smells like the corn is well brewed, rather than a sweet corn smell.

It had a mild foaming action and left with a really astringent, corny aftertaste. This was not going well at this point. Well, it is a light beer afterall. This seems to be the exact opposite from my reaction with Iron City/ IC Light. I disliked the IC but liked IC Light. Well, I dislike Genny Light and kind of like Genny. There was little flavor to speak of other than the nasty corn husk and sweet malt liquor -like taste. There was the bite of the alcohol at the beginning but nothing followed.

Verdict: A very unpleasant light beer when there are much better, even cheapies to get. I couldn't buy one, so I'll have to finish the 12.

"Brewmaster's Choice" huh?

Appearance-Out of the can and into the pint golden brown color and about two inches of head, the head cascades and sticks around for a few.

Smell-Bud like just like regular Genny, my nose picked up faint hops, a lot of grain (cereal like), fairly clean

Taste-crisp upfront but turns bland on the palette immediately, bitter grain flavor and not much else, fairly smooth.

Mouthfeel-like the crispness at the beginning but the blandness is fairly bad, luckily there isn't much aftertaste.

Drinkability-since it is a light lager you can pound these just as easily as any light offering from Bud, Miller, Coors, or any other large brewer, the blandness hurts it, but you can still pound em.

Overall-superior to regular Genny due to it's better character and easier drinking but the bland flavor at the end kept it from being rated much higher. The fact that it has flavor should make it notable since many light beers lack it, even if it is bland, who knows maybe someone else will like it. For three bucks a six it will do it a pinch.

This one is definitely better out of the can than on tap, but either way it's just a watered down version of Genesee Beer. Corny adjunct flavor. Grainy and sweet. No hop presence. What else can be said?
Avoid on tap at all costs. Just lick the condensation off of the side of a metal keg for a similar experience.

At a wedding it was the night of bad lagers. The had this on tap so with nothing with any flavor in sight I set the task of critically reviewing it while idiots did the chicken dance.

Appearance: Good golden color, with a clean white head that leaves little lacing.

Smell: Urine and grain

Taste: Not as bad as I was expecting, but still not very good. To style though it holds up ok. Has a grainy taste no hops in this beer (surprise) and a rather bland after taste.

Mouthfeel: Slight body not so watery as one would expect.

Drinkability: Beer pong beer only, the dirt from the floor will liven it up.

Sampled at Sexual Chocolate 2011.
Pours a thin looking straw yellow color with a HUGE billowing white head and no lacing at all. Smells of corn and sweet malts. Tastes of tons of grain and corn character, and some malts. Mouthfeel is very thin and fizzy and drinkability is very low.
