Great second location. They don't Brew here, but the beers from the brewery in Mokena, and the kitchen options are the same.
Large L shaped car for 25 or so fronting two 25 pull walls boasts mostly local:18th Street, Half Acre, Whiner, and Revolution, but is supported by regional favorites like Founders, Bell's, and Shorts, plus a couple of national brands like Coronado and Ballast Point.
Restaurant seating surrounds the bar with high tops for about 100 and they have outdoor seating for another 100 or so.
Strip mall location has lots of parking space.
Plenty of TV's for your favorite teams.
Food is delicious and kids are welcome.
Music/sound is well balanced and I enjoy the music in the background with sports on tv.
Prices are appropriate for the area.
Good place for families, groups, and couples.

Larger than the original Tribes, they have a vast selection of their beer and guest beers. Staff is knowledgeable, place is clean and beer consistent. The have a courtyard/beer garden and plenty of parking.

Overrated.
Beer selection is top notch; that's the plus.
Service is slow.
Food is mediocre. This place used to have great food, but it's gone downhill. For instance, last time I went the fries must have been made way earlier. Soggy and kind of cold. Ordered a turkey club, but no bacon on it. Buns on the burgers seemed stale.
Generally this place is clean. I'd stop in for a beer or two, but not so much for the food.

If you haven't been to Tribes Alehouse in Tinley Park, here are four reasons for you to get there right now;
1. The best selection of draft beer in Chicago's South Suburbs. A world-wide variety of rotating craft beer selections, along with special tappings that keep you coming back.
2. A great selection of food that will excite your taste buds and pair with your beer selection.
3. Unmatched service from bar to table makes for a great experience.
4. The best little beer festival (Tribesfest) that occurs every July with rare and unique brewery offerings. Talk with brewers and reps as they serve their beer. Attend once and you will mark your calender for next year.

Tribes is the best spot to go in the south Chicago suburbs. Great tap list and great events held all the time. The staff is super accommodating. Everyone is very friendly any time I go in. The food is way better than average too. Do yourself a favor and try their bison burger!

Tribes Alehouse is a great bar to drink quality craft beer in the South suburbs of Chicago. I've attended 3 special events there including 2 BA member events and every time the staff hit it out of the park.
The bar itself has over 40 taps on at a time, many with special offerings that you don't find around the suburbs. At one of the BA member events they provided a special tapping for just us (FW Velvet Merkin), and every other time they've always had something worth drinking.
Another cool thing they've added is an Untappd video board that displays what people are drinking and checking in at Tribes at that time. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Tribes Tinley is a go to spot for a great selection of over 40 beers and delicious food. The taps change regularly and cover most styles of beer. The food is as good as the beer is. I personally love the burgers and the steak sandwich. Although I can get quite busy in there, Tribes does a good job of accommodating its guests.
The place itself is very big with high ceilings. Lots of beer memorabilia in the walls, including a really cool mural of beer characters. The bar is L-shaped and very big. Lots of TV's for sporting events. The beer menu is now listed on screens throughout the bar, as changing paper menus becomes a burden when you're changing taps so frequently. A must stop place in the south suburbs!

Very enjoyable, the atmosphere is great ,the service is awesome, the wife enjoys their awesome wine list while I get to enjoy 54 draft beers and a New Hollands Dragons Milk on cask. Food menu is amazing including their new additions to the food menu. My favorite is the Bison Sloppy Joe, wife's is still the Rueben.

Tribes Tinley location is sitting at the end of a newish, upscale strip mall just off Lagrange Rd. When entering you're greeted by the hostess stand, and hostess. High, industrial ceilings make for a spacious feel but there is also a ton of open seating area in this bar/restaurant. There's also a huge outdoor patio, with limited menu, that's open in the summer months. The huge, seating around 50 L-shaped bar is where I usually reside. There are a couple TVs mounted up high for whatever sport of the moment is playing. The atmosphere is warm and nice but it's a little cookie cutter, except for the wall of tap handles. The bartenders are friendly, well informed, and can chat about more than just beer.
There are 54 taps pouring and usually 1 cask making 55, pretty extensive to say the least. The selection is great with a ton of draft only selections (Habanero Sculpin, Local Option's Kentucky Common, Solemn Oath) while most of the others are seasonal and the ones that aren't are all blazing fresh and well taken care of. Menu is nicely laid out by style and updated constantly. There are a lot of tough to find taps pouring at any given time and Tribes is one of the few South Suburban bars that routinely gets any Zombie Dust. Prices are far, pints between $5-$6 while the small pours, 13oz, run anywhere from $6-%10 with $10 usually being for Bruery sours.
Tribes has one of the best selections in all of Chicagoland, suburbs or otherwise. There's a real focus and passion for beer at Tribes that shows in how well everything is done from training bartenders to updating lists to the quality of handles. Tribes is great beer bar.

Atmosphere: This location is much larger than the original Tribes in Mokena. The decor is excellent and there is a fairly large outdoor patio seating area that is very nice. I only had to wait for a table once in the countless times I have visited Tribes.
Service: Great, their servers know the beers, which you don't always find at restaurants and the bartenders REALLY know their stuff. They remember you too, on my second time there one of the bartenders remembered me from my first visit. Very impressed.
Selection: Beer selection is great, especially with weekly tappings and various special events, including IPA Day, Black Beer Night, Tribes Ale Fest. There is always something on the beer menu that I haven't tried and they updated daily. Their new website also shows what beers are on deck! A nice feature.
Food: Great! Most beer places can be hit or miss..this is a home run. Appetizers are great and they are known for their burgers! GO TRY THEM! The Cheese Curds are amazing as is the Macaroni and Cheese. (Its huge! split with two people!)
Overall Tribes is a great craft beer establishment and an asset to the south side craft beer enthusiasts. I will continue to bring my business and my friends to Tribes.

First off I must say I have frequented the Mokena location many times before and after the Tinley Park location opened. I am a big fan of the Mokena location but Tinley is much more comfortable because there is so much more room. The bar is a large L shape with plenty of seats (at least on a weekday), a few tvs playing sports and bartenders that are knowledgeable and attentive. There are quite a few bar tables and more than enough dining type tables. The outdoor patio is an awesome place to kick back and enjoy a meal and a couple beers. The decor is spot on and inviting for what Tribes aims to be.
The food selection is slightly different than your typical bar with it being of higher quality. Perhaps this is why the prices seem to be somewhat on the pricey side. I don't mind however because I can say the pub fare is better than average. I have yet to have a meal that I didn't enjoy.
The beer selection is pretty good most times. I usually can find something that interests me and I want to try. The bartenders do seem to know their stuff when it comes to the craft beer and that is refreshing. They are there when you do need them but at the same time seem to know when to leave you alone to enjoy your beer. If you do want to strike up conversation they are more than willing to oblige. The prices are on par with other craft beer bars in the area.
Overall I like the feel of the Tinley location a bit more than Mokena simply because of the increased roominess but you really can't go wrong with either location.
