On tap at Backstage in Torrington.

A clear amber with a thin beige head, there's solid retention and lacing here. The nose is like a nutmeg and allspice explosion with some brown sugar thrown in. Overspiced on the palate as well, the blend of nutmeg and allspice is overpowering. Watery brown sugar is present but hot damn, the spices! Watery sweet on the finish, this beer is very disappointing.

Pours orange-brown hazy, with 1/3 inch head, and moderate carbonation. Taste is deep brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. Tastes like an imperial pumpkin with big, bold, and fresh flavors. Captures the taste of a sugar rimmed pumpkin ale without the sugar. Nice dessert beer that stands out above those pumpkin ales with muted flavors. I will look to get this again.

3/31...can to glass. Rusty orange amber, 1/4 inch white foam. Pumpkin nutmeg cinnamon nose. Some vanilla. Sweet pumpkin pie like flavor, light bodied. Long cinnamon taste. Nutmeg hangs out too. Spices below the surface. Good.

This beer is like doing the cinnamon challenge. Absolutely no pumpkin in the aroma or mouth. Nice appearance, but taste is overpowering cinnamon, nutmeg, bitter oregano--- very watery mouthfeel with lingering spiciness and chalkiness- unbalanced and almost undrinkable. Expecting a much better beer from Half Full.
