Soapy head and soapy lacing. Amberish in color--didn't look too bad. Didn't smell like much, but not bad by any means. Malty/Bready if I had to pinpoint something.
Taste is where it fails: astringent then...nothing! Literally tastes like nothing after the initial off taste then kicks in with a bit of an aftertaste that isn't all that horrible. Can't taste a hop--any hop. There is nothing Pale about this APA and there is nothing hoppy to speak of. Even as an English Pale Ale this fails. No character to speak of

8/14...pours rich brown amber with fluffy white foam topping out at about 1/4 inch. Light bready nose with a pine below. Taste opens sweet, nutty, caramel, and is then joined by a tasty green grass bitter. Blends expertly and creates a very drinkable blend.

Yet another beer from the ruler of the canned beer kingdom, woodychandler. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a beige color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of piney hops, malts. Taste is well balanced hops and malts, a bit of pine, smooth and easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

A-pours a copper color with a bit of an amber hue, along with a white head with average retention
S-lots of pine, citrus (predominately lemon), faint maltiness in the background
T-again a lot of lemony citrus, followed by pine, decent malt background
M-medium bodied
O-fairly balanced pale ale, not a bad brew but probably wouldn't seek out again

Whew! I CANnot tell you where this came from. Tone77 credits me with getting him one, but from where? I really need to get caught up on the backlog here at Chez Woody! I am dedicating myself to this daunting task, rarely stirring out & even more rarely, buying more beer (for the time being).

From the CAN: "A Balanced Inspiring Ameri[CAN] Pale Ale."; "Epiphany 2008 [-] Established 2012"; "March onward. If you've come this far, you're not the waiting type. Neither are we. So let's seek out that bright idea ... That next pursuit of passion ... that next toast-worthy moment. Time to make it happen. Half Full Onward APA, the perfect inspirational pairing for whenever you're ready to march onward."; "At Half Full Brewery (R)[,] we're passionate about dreams. Big dreams. Like, build-a-brewery big. And we know firsthand that when you're chasing down a dream, with a glass half full, you CAN't lose. Crack open this CAN to experience our dream and start thinking about yours. [undersigned] Conor & Crew".

I live (sorta) for the Crack! of a CAN since the auditory nature of beer encased in an aluminum cylinder is music to my ears! An added bonus is when it reveals a brimful craft CAN, such as in this case. The drawback is that if forces me into a gentle Glug, since when they are that full, they CAN be hard to CANtrol. Onward! A quick swirl raised a finger of foamy, tawny head with decent retention. Color was Deep Amber/Light Copper to Copper (SRM = > 13, < 17) with NE-quality clarity. Nose held an admixture of grapefruit-citrus & pine-mint and I became anxious to sip it! Mmmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was not quite as pronounced as on the nose, but it was just restrained enough to be appropriate for the style. I am working my way into my stash of AIPAs and DIPAs for later today, but right now, this filled the bill. It had a more minty-pine coolness in the mouth than I expected. The finish, however, was more grapefruit-citrus and left an overall dryness. 2 for 2 from these guys!

Nothing special but really palatable. Not too bitter, but not a lot of character.
