(On tap at the brew pub - in a pint glass)
Reddish orange color with a slight haze, though unfiltered. Head is weak with minimal lacing. Carbonation is light.
Aroma is thin but it's not trying to be an American IPA so that is expected. The flavor is surprisingly sweet and mellow, so needless to say it is not a bitter beer. I'm good with that. The taste fades fairly quickly due to the thin hops and low bitterness. The sweetness makes up for it IMO.
Moutfielder is clean, not too sticky. Overall this is a pleasant IPA that would be better served in summer rather than now (dead of winter). I do recommend it, so visit Portsmouth and hit the alley.
