Pint can with a canned on dated of 7/14 poured into a proper pint glass.
A-2 Fingers of dense white head atop a hazy, dirty looking murky yellow color.
S-Aptly named, smells like OJ from a foot away. Lots of tropical and citrus aromatic hops dance out of this beer. Very inviting.
T-Sadly the taste isn't quite as nice. The hop flavor isn't as bright with more alpha acids and bitterness taking over. Flavors of pine, grapefruit and hop oil resin most noticeable. Significant maltiness. A touch of alcohol burn.
M-Highly carbonated, large body, bitter with a moderately long finish. A bit of booziness.
O-A serviceable NEIPA. The aroma doesn't hold up into the flavor of this beer. Worth drinking but too bitter and boozy compared to my favorites.

No canned date

Appearance - Pours hazy and pure orange in color with a white, rocky finger width head. Good retention, resulting in a thin, consistent layer of suds. Good retention, resulting in a thin, broken layer of suds. Good amount of lacing with broken sheeting, webbing and small spotting.

Smell - Strong, juicy orange with a hint of white grapefruit. Faint pineapple. Slight grain and sweet white bread undertone.

Taste - Follows the nose. Sweet orange upfront with a bit of white grapefruit bittersweet juiciness. Light bready sweetness. Backend hits on stronger grapefruit with a bit of pineapple bite and some lingering wheat notes.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, easy texture with a slightly dry finish.

Overall - Pure citrus juice bomb. I've grown to like it a bit more than the first can I tried, but the lack of complexity limits its appeal.

1 Pint can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass

This beer pours a deep amber color and is hazy. It is topped with two inches of off white head that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is fresh citrus with hints of mango and pineapple.

I get a lot of orange juice character. I also get hints of grapefruit. The taste is mostly citrus with just a little pine in the finish.

Medium mouthfeel

It is good but nothing special.

Short Review. This was pretty nice, it's not as good as some of the other new england style IPA's that I've had, but it pretty much had all the same aspects that I look for in the style and not off aspects. I liked the juicy flavors and aromas and it wasn't overly bitter. I would buy this beer again.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 6/20/2017. Pours lightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, guava, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, guava, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, herbal, grass, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, guava, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.7%. Overall this is a delicious NE IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Nicely juicy, fruity, and tropical; nice malt backbone with no residual sweetness. Hits all the right notes for the style, even with the lack of haze. A very enjoyable offering.
