The beer pours a nice light dark tan head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a nice dark chocolate black that appears to be a little more thin than expected for the style but still has enough heft to it such that it doesn't negatively affect it.

The smell is good. The smell has a nice and strong orange note with a light salt that dominates the stout's sweet milk chocolate notes.

The taste is good. The balance between the two notes is much better in the taste than it is in the smell. It still has the sweet dark milk chocolate flavor but at a much stronger intensity. The salt is also more noticeable.

The feel is good. The beer has a heavy body but feels a bit syrupy and a tad thin. The beer still has enough texture to it such that it's still good.

Overall, this is a pretty interesting beer because of how well the notes work with each other. The unique notes are certainly ones that work well with stouts. I definitely recommend this one.

Pours a cola color with a tight mocha head that leaves a ring of lacing.

Smells of chocolate and coffee mostly with a bit of orange behind it.

Tastes of the deep roasted notes with a nice layer of orange on top. Malts lead off with notes of chocolate, fudge, and coffee. A bit of complimentary sea salt adds in the middle. Sweet citrus adds in next, creating a chocolate dipped orange candy candy kind of feel. Finishes a little hot with some lingering chocolate.

Mouthfeel is full with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is tasty and worth a try.

Chewy chocolate dessert on tap at the brewery. So smooth.

Had on draft. A typical dark black for an imperial stout. Slight orange in the smell, chocolate and maybe Cinnamon. Taste is unique. Like a Russel Stovers or Whitmans chocolate covered orange creme with alcohol. I noticed the high ABV but in a good way. The salt isn't really noticeable except as a nice compliment to the chocolate and orange. I like when someone pulls off an odd and unique recipe like this. A nice base stout and the crazy mix on top of it actually works. I'd drink it again if I came across it.

Poured on tap in a shaker, the beer is jet black, oily, and thick, with a dense, low profile, tan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, hints of orange rind, creamy highlights, and subtle coffee. Flavors are a solid blend of chocolate, coffee, and orange, with creamy highlights. Balanced and layered, the beer has a smooth, creamy transition over the tongue. The aftertaste is rich chocolate, subtle orange highlights, and hints of coffee bitter. Smooth, layered finish. Good beer.
