12oz can from ThatCracker (thanks man). Canned 2/14/14. Served in a Terrapin goblet.

Pours hazy amber with two fingers of pale head. A frothy cap lingers, leaving a good bit of lace.

Smells of floral hops, spice and a little bread. Meh.

I get a strange combination of flavors. Earthy hops, an almost nutmeg-like spice, bready malt, hay and vague citrus zest.

Fairly thin body with plenty of carbonation. Old hops, citrus pith and bread linger in the finish.

This was not at all what I look for in a pale ale. The earthy spice and iverly floral notes just turned me off. This was brewed for someone else.

Ray/Ray's strikes a great balance between heavy earthy notes and lemon. Easy to drink and only slightly (pleasantly) bitter on the back end, it is a great representation of a true Pale Ale. Pours nicely with relatively small head but good lacing on the glass. Nice earthy aroma with a hint of fruit on top. Overall, very impressive outing. It should be noted they have added a canned distribution with some smart marketing art which is initially what caught my eye.

Good solid APA. Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass. Medium size frothy white head with good retention. Thick streaks of lacing on the glass. Aroma is piney hops and slightly sweet malt. Fairly prominent and nice. Flavor is more of the same. The malt is somewhat sweet but also on the dry and biscuity side. The hops and bitterness are piney/resiny with just the right amount of bitterness. Close enough in abv to be a session type beer and well worth it flavor wise. Mouthfeel is crisp and nicely bitter. Rich enough for the style. I could see this as someone's every day beer.

Can pours a hazy, glowing amber body with a small white head with decent retention; little lacing. Fantastic aromas: bursting with orange peel and pineapple almost as much as an IPA, with equally potent notes of caramel malts suggesting lots of sweetness to come. This promise, however, isn't quite fulfilled; the flavors are hop-dominated with just a hint of caramel malts that don't even begin to balance the orange zest and resinous hop notes. This is by no means a bad beer, but the label "pale ale" sets up an expectation of an even match between hops and malts that isn't quite achieved here. Still, an enjoyable brew for those who prefer bitter-leaning pale ales.

A big thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a copper color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of hops, a bit minty. Taste is hop forward, some bitterness, piney, light citrus, malts kicking in at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass.

A dull orange and apricot body, slightly cloudy a bit with minimal carbonation. Minimal retention on a big off white head that forms three to nearly four fingers tall. Soapy retention, and settles to a big bubbled puck and eventually a thin bubbled collar.

Grainy nose with a bit of mild acridity. Very quiet down here, not much else to detect either, malt or hop wise. Not awful, but noting worth getting excited about either.

Palate matches some of the subtlety and quiet character of the nose. Small grainy finish, with a minimal depth of malt character even for a pale ale. Slight juiced orange character with a bit of good stinging carbonation on the tongue.

Comes across as a decent basic everyday American pale ale.
