This is great! As cheap as it is, you would expect something crappy and low quality - but you might be surprised!
The thing that it boasts to be an "original Czech lager" actually means it is a pilsener, as this latter is used for beers they call "lezák", meaning lagered beer - and this one is very much like the Czech lezáks indeed!
Honestly haven't had any real Czech beer outside the Republic, all the Staropramens and Urquells are donehow differemt and don't portray that atmosphere you get in underground breweries in Prague old town, where they shovel Saaz hops into the fermentation right in front of you...
Now this one is just like that! It is full of SAAZ! It is a Saaz galore! It is just like the ones you get in Prague (of course unfortunately filtered and fermented)... Like Krakonos et al, very grassy, full of fresh green plants ie. Czech hops! Mice and refreshing Czech malty lager base without any yeast overtone and this trademark hops all over.
I just love this, it makes me travel in both space and time to all the occassions I spent in the capital, great indeed! Genie a bottle for all of those who would like to try or miss the real Czech beers of Bohemia. This is a fortune to have this on import.
