This beer was one of the best surprises I've ever drank. Alabama is relatively new to the craft beer scene due to legislation. While it has several great beers, Alabama lacks an excellent year round IPA. Those days are no more where this beer is available. Distribution seems to be spreading and believe the 4pack I purchased cost $10.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a tulip. Bottle dated 1 month old.

Appearance: Beautiful opaque copper-orange body.

Aroma: The citra and simcoe hops are evident. Strong smells of citrus from the citra while the simcoe provides a balancing pine dankness.

Taste: Follows the nose. This is a hop forward beer. Citrus and pine resin. Nice strong bitterness. Some sweetness from the malt but this beer isn't attempting to balance the malt. It's all about the hops. While this may be labelled as an IPA, you should enter expecting a DIPA. Packaging reads 8.4% abv but zero alcohol is present in the taste.

Mouthfeel: Crisp. Plenty of carbonation with a medium body.

Overall: Fairhope Brewing's other beers are good, but this is an unknown gem. I put this beer on par with fresh Good People's Snakehandler, and that is one hell of a compliment. I seriously hope they produce more beers of this caliber.

Pours a nice red-orange gold with a 1.5 finger head. Smell is a pretty good maltiness with a decent hop backbone. A really good IPA from an up and coming southern brewery. I will definitely stock up when see them!

Pours a dark yellow. Little darker than the norm for my usual IPA's.

Very nice nose---mango/floral. One of the better smelling IPA's I've had in some time.

Taste is a bit astringent. Citra hops present I'm thinking. I had to reset a bit after the first sip as I wasn't digging it but after a 2nd sip I came around. Warmed up to it nicely.

Not much of an aftertaste which was nice since the beer hammers the tongue a bit early on.

Nice beer. Got a few bottles via a trade from a buddy in Alabama and would definitely have this in my IPA rotation if I were local to it. Nice things brewing in Alabama.

Love this beer. Definitely burnt out in the hop wars but this has an almost perfect balance. Bottling now, does lose a little but dee licious!

Unfortunately, cheesy aroma as this warms up. The juicy grapefruit hop flavor is lovely, but this IPA isn't clean. If try it again tho, solid take on the West Coast IPA

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a golden orange with a small white head. The aroma is big on the florals and some pine. The taste is has a nice hop / pine flavor. A really good IPA.

Poured from 12oz bottle to a large bowl red wine glass.
Pretty beer. Golden orange.
Smells of flowers in a pine straw bed.
Taste the pine straw and some citrus. Lemony.
Really loved this beer. Got this beer on a trip to Alabama to visit friends. Wish I could get it here. Really good.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has an orange/copper color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is strong of citrus, pine is present as well. Taste is citrus, malts, some pine, medium bitterness, balanced and tasty. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a beer worth seeking out.
