The workday is done, and it's time to unwind...
notecard_LFULa Ferme Urbaine (LFU) is our unique take on a farmhouse ale. Influenced by the Belgian saison style, LFU features a complex blend of German hops, pilsener and pale malts, wheat, rye, oats, and spelt. The beer pours a hazy straw color and delivers a spicy, dry finish. So raise a glass and enjoy!

A wonderful Saison. Beautiful unfiltered copper color that produced a decent head which dissipated somewhat quickly. Highly carbonated, light yet slick mouthfeel. Not overly spiced like some. Does a fantastic job of hiding this 7.8% ABV. Very drinkable. Very well may be my beer of choice this summer.

A: Pours a cloudy yellow color with a massive head that slowly fades down to a decent cap and leaves streaks of puffy lacing

S: Belgian yeast notes full of spice and fruitiness and some lighter grassy notes. Hints of wheat, rye, and spelt as well. Solid

T: Follows the nose, minus some of the yeasty punch. Starts off with the yeast still, delivering the spice and light dried fruitiness and then goes into the complex malty aspect. Get the spiciness of the rye and spelt along with the slight chalkiness of the wheat. Finishes with lingering spice and malt

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A bit chalky

O: A solid American farmhouse ale that does the style justice. Very drinkable for pushing 8% and quite refreshing

Tried this new local beer here in RI. Was very tasty. Want to try it when I haven't had any other beer before this.

Bears a fleeting resemblance to Saison Dupont. Which is not to say it carries that beers level of gravitas, but hey, why not aim high. Clove in the nose as well as in the flavor. Perhaps the spice level from the yeast in this beer is a touch heavy handed. Would like a slightly dryer finish but this works. Malt presence in this beer is grassy/straw-like and faintly floral.
