Notes:
Vanilla Noir is Prairie Noir aged on organic, fair trade vanilla beans, and let’s just say it takes a lot of beans! The vanilla flavor compliments the whiskey barrel aging process and adds a delicious layer to the beer.

12 oz. bottle poured into a teku glass.
Near black with thin light brown head.
Nose: Very vanilla and bourbon forward with a hint of cocoa powder.
Tase: Follows the nose - vanilla and bourbon with a subtle malt/cocoa base. Not much alcohol heat.
Feel: Medium body, light carbonation, extremely drinkable.

Never had batch one but wow batch 2 is delicious. Pours a black with a tan head. Really nice whiskey vanilla nose balancing each other out. The body is roasty and sweet with a good amount of vanilla. The whiskey is hardly noticeable and doesn't drink like an 11.5%. The mouthfeel is very smooth and this is just delicious overall.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 9/30/2015. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger dense dark tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge milk chocolate, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, cocoa, caramel, toffee, molasses, coconut, toasted oak, whiskey, light dark fruit, and roast/oak earthiness. Insane aromas with perfect balance of dark/roasted malt, vanilla, and whiskey barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk chocolate, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, cocoa, caramel, toffee, molasses, coconut, toasted oak, whiskey, light dark fruit, and roast/oak earthiness. Light roasted bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, cocoa, caramel, toffee, molasses, coconut, toasted oak, whiskey, and roast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Insane complexity, robustness, and perfect balance of dark/roasted malt, vanilla, and whiskey barrel flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very smooth and creamy/silky mouthfeel that is heavenly. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an absolutely top class Barrel aged imperial stout. Incredible complexity, robustness, and perfect balance of dark/roasted malt, vanilla, and whiskey barrel flavors; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the ABV with zero booziness. A mind blowing offering.

Pours an absolute black with a finger of khaki fizzy-foam on top. Not much for head retention with no lacing left behind. Boozy bourbon hits the nose immediately after opening. Caramel, oak, molasses, vanilla bean, and dark chocolate all form additional layers within the aroma. Flavor profile showcases vanilla bean, and bourbon. Caramel, molasses, and dark chocolate produce a wonderful arrangement of warming, sweet notes. Oak with toasted and roasted malts become more apparent as the beer warms. Mouth feel is thick and filling, with a velvety texture that has a little bit of graininess to it. Overall, a huge, flavorful stout. Vanilla bean is definitely on show, but it's not a one-trick pony. Bourbon and booze is at a nice, but upfront, level.
Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz bottle.

Pours pitch black, nothing shines through even when held to the light. Maintains a tiny mocha head. Aroma is vanilla for days, as well as subtle whiskey and oak, a pleasure to smell. Taste is heavy on the vanilla but not quite vanilla-bomb status, light chocolate in the mix, as well as some whiskey and woodiness from the oak.
Can really feel the whiskey and a slight sweetness from the vanilla with a very smooth finish. Overall, this is a decadent and tasty barrel aged vanilla imperial stout. Could definitely see this one benefiting from some age as well.

The nose is mainly whiskey & malt. Vanilla is a great counterbalance to the boozy whiskey barrel aspect. Great beer to be certain, nice weight and mouthfeel. Not thin, just right.

Not bad but not up to par with PB and BB. A bit thin and a bit astringent. Not as big a mouthfeel as the others. Vanilla which usually wins me over in these stouts misses the mark jus a bit in this one. Don't think it was infected but just seemed off a bit.

Big want for me so bought 4 even though they came with an $11.99 price tag. Now there's no question I made the right decision. This is one of the best beers I've ever had.

The worst craft offering I've ever had. Bmc stuff is bland this was just bad. Worst nose on any beer I've ever had, tasted medicinal more than anything. Really a drain pour of a beer with no redeeming values. Mediocre would be a huge leap. Vanilla? Where?
