500 cl bottle

Pours hazy light lemon gold, head is a fine and firm two inches plus thick, dissipates to a film and retains there indefinitely.

Smells of lemon drops, lemon citrus, coriander, and grassy malts.

Tastes light and citrusy, sweet and tart lemon over cracker malts. Some herbal bite and spiciness follow with a very subtle grassy hop finish.

Medium body with stinging carbonation on the tongue.

Very nice and refreshing. Lots of flavor, but still drinks light with a refreshing pop. Very enjoyable and worth grabbing.

After having Funky Gold Citra which was great I had to try FG Mosaic. Very different than the citra version. The look had a effervescent foam that dissipated quickly. The aroma was funky with lemon and sweaty armpit. That's right, it smells like a sweaty armpit. Now, that isn't so terrible because it is a very distinct aroma that isn't so offputting. The taste disappoints after having the citra. Where the citra does a great ying/yang with sweet sour, funky and bitter the Mosaic just does funky, dry and slightly bitter. You get some lemon but it just doesn't work that well and I never really get that fruity flavor you expect from Mosaic hops. It's not a bad beer, just not even close to it's citra brother.

Poured a cloudy light yellow body with an aroma that is sour, acidic, sharp, pungent and funky. Thin body, acidic orange juice like notes with hints of funky yeastiness and a sourness that is balanced with a bit of grapefruit hop sweetness. Good combination of flavors and balance lead to enjoyable beer.

Poured from a bottle into a Teku glass.
Look - Clear, straw yellow color, lots of carbonation that creates a nice head that dissipates to the edges. A steady stream of bubbles rise from the bottom.
Smell - Lemon with hints of orange and pine
Taste - Lemon-lime with pine notes emanating from the back
Feel - Lots of carbonation that tingles the tongue. Very drinkable.
Overall - A crushable beer with some interesting lemon flavors.

Poured from a bottle into my tulip.

Look: Hazy straw. Not as hazy as a hefeweizen but still pretty hazy. Finger of white foamy head that recedes to less than a centimeter after a few minutes.

Smell: Wet soil. Leafy Mango. Slightish tart lemon candy mid palate--not too sour. Mainly mango with under ripe lemon rind. Lemony hops/grapefruit pith. Earthy lemongrass notes. Almost Sprite-like, candy finish.

Feel: Medium bodied--good carbonation paired with citrus notes makes this very refreshing.

Overall: Pretty solid offering here, this has become a go to sour when it's hot out. Perfect for drinking in the early afternoon after a long walk/run in the heat. I love the tropical fruit notes combined with the earthy/vegetal backbone.

This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a concave white foamy little head. Quick dissipation, still lacing sticks finely. The smell starts off with some sweet lemon, sticky bitter lemon rind, lemon juice, slight bitter pine, subtle dry citrus and citrus rind. A little bit of sour lemon balances nicely. The taste was mainly sour with an ample amount of sweet to bitter underneath in the citrus department. Dry sour lemon aftertaste leads into a sticky sour finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seems to run nicely allowing the bitterness of the rind to be the harshness. Overall, I say this was a pretty good sour/wild ale. I’d have it again.

On tap at Bailey's.

A mildly hazy straw yellow with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing, this looks great. The nose is great too. Funky, Brett heavy with spicy clove, mild phenols and a wonderful, bright dry-hopped character with tropical fruit and a little pineapple, this is great. A mild vinous note is present as well as a touch of grain. The palate opens tart, funky, earthy with a mild tannin character. A little bit of grainy bread, some fruit (citrus/tropical) and a moderate funk are present. Earth, mushrooms, a little bit of wet straw are present. A touch chalky on the finish, this beer is tart, lemony and refreshing. Delicious.

Thanks to greenkrusty for scoring this one for me. Pours a golden color beer, looks like a pale ale for the most part, good clarity 1/2" white head, average retention, probably above average for a wild ale. Aroma imparts lemon and Mosaic hop dankness. Enjoyable.

Taste, its not a style I've been often impressed with, but this is one of, if not the best ipa/wild ale I've had. Plenty of citrus tang without a hefty dose of acidity, I like it. Lemon and tangerine notes throughout the mouthfeel. Despite the name, there isn't a ton of funk, but it also doesn't smack of kettle souring either.

I liked this one a lot. Would bang again.

Sampled on tap. Pours a light yellow with a touch of haze. Quite a pucker. Smell is in-your-face bright, acidic, lemon candy, a little funk, some tropical notes. Taste is much of the same and more - lemon, funk, malic sourness, mango, unripe pineapple. Tastes like the Mango Altoid Sours they used to make.
