LOOK: Dark ruby color with a nice head. Very good looking ale.
Smell: Raspberries galore! With the traditional farmhouse funk that prairie is known for!
Taste: Raspberries dominate with a bretty farmhouse taste intermingle for a very pleasant experience. Slightly tart, interested to see how this ages!
Feel: The raspberry aftertaste and smooth carbonation make this beer a must try.
Overall: With Prairie Ale being the base beer, I am delighted that yet again they decided to use a Farmhouse Ale for their anniversary! The Healey's don't deviate too much from what makes their beer fly off the shelves: drink-ability. This beer would be perfect for any occasion...a celebration, or with food. Or, you could have it alone in front of your computer taking tons of photos of it! Regardless this is a true winner, expect Prairie to continue their generosity to those who love rustic farmhouse ales for years to come.

Appearance- Very nice looking hazy dark pink color. Pours about two inches of head that is white in color with a pink hue. One of those beers where you think if it tastes half as good as it looks then it'll be an amazing beer.

Aroma- A little bit of raspberry but not too much. Definitely see prairie ale coming through with a touch of brett, grainy malt, and some lemon/citrus sweetness.

taste- Raspberries were an amazing choice or this. The raspberry flavor is definitely prominent at first, but then the characteristics of prairie ale come through and blend perfectly with the raspberry flavors. The raspberries linger to the finish but a twang of saison yeast adds a mildty tart interjection to the fruity sweetness. Getting a little bit of brett at times, but its very subdued. The malt is dry and grain like, which provides balance to the sweetness.

feel- Medium to low carbonation (kind of under-carbonated and flat at times), medium bodied, and a semi sweet finish.

overall- My first anniversary ale from these and it was a great one. The raspberries blend really nicely with prairie ale. Its almost a bit too sweet at times and could benefit from more a little more tartness, but other than the balance is pretty damn good. Hefty price tag per usual for a prairie beer, but the quality of this definitely makes this deserving of a few more purchases.

I'm not a big fruit beer lover, but I do like Prairie so here goes. My goodness this stuff is pink and murky. There's a fingernail of off white resting on top. The aroma is massively tart raspberries. The taste closely echoes the nose. It's a burst of tart raspberries and then at the back of the palate I get a bit of earthy, peppery notes from the saison yeast. The mouth is highly carbonated and dry.

Pours a very impressive cloudy pinkish amber with thick creamy light pink head. Smells sour with hints of raspberry. Taste is mostly sour with this heavy creamy aftertaste. Raspberry is just right. Not bad at all. Can't wait till there 4th.
