Black color with a small tan head that lingered on the circumference of the glass.
Subtle peanut butter aroma with coffee. A little bit of chocolate.
Taste follows the nose. Peanut butter, not overpowering. Coffee. Hint of chocolate.
Thick mouthfeel, almost like I ate a spoonful of peanut butter.
Very nice beer.

A: Jet black with tan head and solid lacing.
N: Peanut butter, chocolate, and some coffee.
T: Outstanding, full on peanut butter with chocolate and coffee mix, you cannot get much better.
M: Medium
O: Loved it, this is the perfect treat beer. Flavors are on point, nothing is too sweet or too harsh, just a solid stout with loads of flavor and smoothness.

Not really a big fan of beers with peanut butter as they are invariably too sweet for my personal taste. This is no exception. I would much prefer a bomb or paradise.

Pouring from a 12 oz. bottle into a snifter glass. This beer pours out pitch black and formed a quickly dissipating peanut butter colored crown. I can smell peanut butter without even putting my nose to the glass. Putting my nose to the glass it becomes even more pronounced while also bringing in a nice velvety chocolate smell. The taste comes in and just hits you with that Prairie stout flavor as a base. It's chocolately and peanut butter like. Not picking up too much coffee but it is slightly in there. The mouthfeel is great. Warming with a velvety smooth, creamy and thick body. I love the balance of this and how it shows the layers without being too much on any.

This is now officially the best peanut butter beer Ive ever had. They nail the PB flavor while having the foresight to include coffee to keep the sweetness in check. Its heavy, boozy and has the perfect blend of sugar and savor. Seek this beer out. Im sure at some point there will be a barrel-aged version of this somewhere. When that day comes, I'll sell a kidney to obtain some.

On draft at Prairie OKC, I ordered just the 4oz taster because I was afraid of the peanut butter.. However this is much more of a straightforward coffee stout, quite bitter but still wonderfully balanced in the normal Prairie style. Not too sweet and I would've come back to it but their cellar list was just too tempting.

Look: Black with a small dark tan head. Poured it pretty hard and the head only showed up at the end, and it didn't last long. Not much lacing.
Smell: I am getting a ton of roasted coffee while its cold, followed by a slight smell of peanut butter. As it warms I am getting a tiny bit more PB and some chocolate.
Taste: Roasted coffee dominates the front, but peanut butter is all over the finish, with small notes of chocolate and toffee.
Feel: On the thicker side and creamy. Also has a dryness to the finish, really excels here.
Overall: Really solid peanut butter stout. Wish the coffee didn't dominate as much as it does.

I'm a very big fan of Prairie Artisan - but I've fallen a bit out of love with their more recent non-barrel aged releases. Consider Yourself Hugged was one of the first that failed to wow me.
I'm a big fan of peanut butter in stouts and porters - but coffee and peanut butter somehow just do not work well together. Perhaps it's the char and acidity to the coffee in Consider Yourself - I do like the roasty notes, but the char and acidity tastes terrible with the creamy nuttiness of the peanut butter. I think that unfortunate chemistry results in the unpleasant finish and lingering bad tastes.
It's still a big, sweet beer, and not a bad one - but of the Prairie line-up, it's one of my least favorites. I'd like to see what a barrel would do to this beer, but I can't imagine peanut butter aging well.

L: Pours viscous motor oil black. A whopping amount of head on this thing, about 3 fingers of a dense brown head that dissipated quickly, but leaves heaps of residual lacing. As far as a cap goes, this is probably the best I've seen on a Prairie stout. The lacing is abundant too which I am loving.
S: Some chocolate on the nose and molasses. I can actually smell the peanut butter in this beer. Coffee is also present, which blends nicely with peanut butter. As it warms, the roasty peanut butter smell gets more pronounced.
T: Chocolate, malts, molasses, and peanut butter. It tastes great, just as advertised. There is a bit of a booze bite to the beer, but it isn't out of the norm for a Prairie beer.
F: Thick and full with moderate carbonation for the style. It is a heavy beer and a slow sipper. Very enjoyable.
O: I wasn't sure what to exactly expect from this, but it has exceeded my expectations. I am thoroughly enjoying it. I am glad that the peanut butter is noticeable, and actually one of the dominant flavors. I am very grateful to have tried. Cheers!
