L -- Pours a fairly dark black body with a scant half finger of brown head produced with moderate pour. Some retention and lacing
S -- Vanilla yogurt, milk chocolate, graham cracker, maple, booze
T -- Hershey milk chocolate, vanilla frosting, maple syrup, brown sugar, sugar cookie, yogurt-covered raisins. Sweet but not overbearing
F -- Fluffy and silky while remaining remarkably light and drinkable for the ABV
O -- Yep, this does taste like an Oreo in beer form. Good stuff albeit a bit gimmicky

12oz. Capped bottle into a BBT snifter.

Pours dense and pitch black. No head, no lace, thick, oily, mocha colored legs. Nose is chocolate, fudge, and Oreo cookies without the cream. Aromatic and rich. Beer opens coca cola, sweet cream, and vanilla. Middle is a touch of cocoa powder, chocolate, and Oreo cookie crumbles. Some overtones of raisin and prunes. Ends sweet and syrupy with a mellow molasses character. Body is full with low carbonation. Smooth and chewy on the palate and goes down mellow but with some viscosity. Long, lingering aftertaste.

This one's quite nice. Not as sweet as I thought it'd be... Which is a good thing.

355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Imperial Stout with Oreo. ABV is 11.9%. Brewed for Prairie Artisan Ales by Krebs Brewing Co. Pitch black colour, small tan head. Aroma of roast malts, molasses, alcohol, chocolate, vanilla, coffee and Oreo cookies. Warming mouthfeel. Very sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, noticeable bittering hops in the finish. Recommended for sharing.

12 ounce bottle into a snifter. Fall 2018 release, had 12/29/20.

Pours near black and opaque, with a little flash of darker foam and no lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa, some vanilla. Mostly similar flavors- chocolate, vanilla, malt, raisins, some caramel, light molasses. Smooth, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated on the low side.

This did not age well, as evidenced by the one- third bottle of Oreo sludge that settled. My fault for not having it sooner. But, have had many stouts aged at least two years that held up far better. Looks like it would be pretty good, fresh….

Very dark, the brown head and recedes right away; The aroma is rich but not strong; mouthfeel is smooth, not much carbonation; Taste is full-bodied, strong, alcohol; I would like this ale a lot better if it weren't almost flat.

This was quite possibly the best Prairie Artisan I have had to date...

...Simply outstanding. From the dark, practically black look of the beer to the almost perfectly blended smell of malts, booze, and oreo, to the creamy mouthfeel - the damn this was delicious without being a dessert beer at all. The taste was not sweet, not overly boozy, and was just a joy to drink from beginning to end.

One of my all-time favorite beers, Prairie nails "Oreo Stout" right on the head. Dark as hell, with a heavy vanilla-forward taste. Any bitterness comes from the chocolatey notes. The body is not unlike an Oreo, resembling that of a crunchy, crumbly cookie. Very little head, which I definitely prefer in a stout.

Pours a pitch-black color with a thin brown foamy head. Head retention is good. Lacing is very good. Nice roasted aroma with chocolate, vanilla, and very mild licorice. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla and some licorice at the end. It is a little lighter than I expected, but still medium to heavy bodied with moderate carbonation. It is definitely a tasty beer.

A - Pours pitch black with a thin tan head. Heavy amount of soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is dark chocolate and roasted malts.

T - The taste is dark chocolate, vanilla, black licorice and roasted malts.

M - Medium body with low carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a soft dry finish.

O - This is a tasty stout. Not really getting much Oreo flavor, but still tasty nonetheless.

Pours dark brown almost black at 56 degrees with fast fizzy tan cap that disappeared immediately; oily residue on top; no ring or lace; no legs. Chocolate cookie nose. Taste is vanilla and semi sweet chocolate; booze on finish. Smooth feel, full minus body, moderate minus carbonation; some alcohol bite (11.9%) on the tip of tongue. Overall, not a good looking beer; it kinda does taste like an Oreo cookie dunked in booze, but disappointing given the high price tag.
