Wow talk about an overrated beer.

$10 for this was retarded. Gimmick beer. FBS or expedition stout are indefinitely better non ba stouts. It tastes like grain alcohol mixed with guinness.

Prairie Double Dunk Imperial Stout, 11.9% ABV. Pours black and as typical with Prairie stouts, just had a slight ring of brown head. Nose is light sweetness and chocolate. Taste is Oreo but not as extreme as expected, more on the aftertaste than anything. Decent mouthfeel, overall outstanding. I'm actually smelling more Oreo on my breath than from the beer itself. Gets better as it warms. The beer, not my breath.

Cracked a bottle at work, got them in last week.

Nice viscous, black pour. Cold, no lace or head on it, but expecting more as it warms.

The nose on this is bursting with dark roast coffee, vanilla sweetness, and chocolate. All components together aren’t exactly like Oreos, but they’re on the same wavelength for sure.

Liquid Oreos, so damn good. The roast on the backbone helps give it just enough of a bite, but damn this is smooth. Predominance of that creamy vanilla creme center, chocolate and coffee balancing out this awesome profile. As it warms I get more of that 11.9% booze shining through.

Creamy, smooth, can’t believe this is 11.9%. Warm down the hatch, residual stickiness. Very subtle booze.

Poured from 12oz bottle into glass. Looks like bottling date was in July of 2018.
Black colored body, with a slice of red mahogany at the edge when back lit. No head buildup when poured but a thin cap sticks around. Each sip leaves behind a trail of tiny spot lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts, cacao, oreo cream, and lactose. Has a slight sour twang.
Taste is definitely sweet, but has lots of dark roasted malts and dark chocolate. The end is more fudgy chocolate cake with vanilla. Not getting much coffee in either the aroma or the taste. The after taste has a slightly bitter espresso type dark chocolate. The slight sour twang sometimes shows up in a sip.
Smooth and thick mouth feel. Carbonation is there but not noticed.
I expected more of a chocolate cookie essence but the slightly sour twang is not expected. One is good to try but I am not motivated to buy more.

Pour is a black with a mocha head. Taste of coffee and chocolate with a hint of Oreo cookie. Somewhat bitter for my liking, but it has a reasonable balance between the sweetness and the bitterness. Aftertaste is decent with sweetness for a couple minutes.

Appearance: Black and opaque, no head, but serious legs, it stains the sides of the glass. Hard second pour generated a thin dark tan head that dissipated like fog.

Aroma: They get the Oreo cookie note in the nose, the chocolate wafer and a bit of cream filling. There's a mild citric hop note too.

Taste: Heavy chocolate, so heavy I'm sure it has to be artificial but I don't get any off notes. Malty sweetness is backed up by a coffee, some toffee notes, mild roasted barley stoutness. Heavy toward the sweet side, but lots of interesting flavors backing it up.

Mouthfeel: Heavy body, oily texture, very low carbonation, slowly dries.

Overall: Wow, it's big. The oreo thing is well done, it's there but doesn't make the beer one dimensional. It's a sweet malt bomb with a lot going on, I didn't capture it all, maybe a hint of chile pepper in the finish? If you like their bomb, this is a no brainer.

Picked up a 16 oz mason jar draft from the Craft Beer Quick Stop on 12-1-18 for $4.50 (part of their discounting). Consumed on 12-6-18.

Beer poured black as night with a very nice tan head that has settled into a ring.

Nose has hints of sweet mildly roasted malts and light vanilla and chocolate.

Taste is very well balanced between the huge malt base, chocolate, cream, and the hidden hopping.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and very smooth.

Overall this was better than expected. Prairie base beers are pretty sweet so i was concerned my glucose level would be off the charts but the brewer did a nice job keeping it balanced.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a large dark brown foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of black chocolate notes with some residual sugar notes and light roasted malt is OK. Taste is a mix of heavy residual sugar notes with some black chocolate notes. Oreo are kind of hard to distinguish. Body is slightly below average for style with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Not bad but not as good or Oreo tasting as I was expecting.

The best dessert stout for chocolate lovers. Pours jet black, little to no carbonation (2 mos old bottle), thin, dark brown halo.

The smell is unremarkable, but the mouthfeel is a chocolate shake, crossed with well balanced boozy notes. Sweet almost to a fault...too easy to drink but with the masked ABV Prarie has perfected. Great for a cool night...but hit the treadmill the next day!
