Interesting... I can't decide if I love it or hate it. It's certainly different and does have a holloween feel. Prost!

I might have found a new favorite pumpkin beer. I love many of the Prairie beers, and this one does not disappoint! You taste a lot of the pumpkin spice, plus a hint of coffee, chocolate, and other nutty flavors. The high ABV means at least for me, that it only takes one bottle to get a nice buzz.

Mostly the caraway and clove on the nose. Nice though.
Flavor is full through and through, allspice and clove notes up front, followed by an envelope of sweet gingerbread with hints of coffee, cinnamon, raisin/ dark fruit...robust and complex...delicious.
Feels medium-thick and sticky.
Nothing basic about this. This ends up being less about the pumpkin, and instead just about the best gingerbread stout I ever recall tasting.

Shockingly impressive head production, with a strong dark tan foam hat for a very dark and inviting body.

Huge pumpkin spice nose - perhaps a detriment for some, but then again, this is 100% in line with what one should expect for the style. Along with the pumpkin spices (including cinnamon and allspice, not entirely unlike a spiced sweet apple pie), there are plenty of rich tones of the huge stout base: caramel, toffee, brown sugar, red grapes, molasses, and toast. Fair amount of booze on the nose, as well.

Sweet and rich, with an emphasis on chocolate and the huge stout base; pumpkin spices and pumpkin add a wonderful complement, but are very much a part of the overall profile, instead of the main show. Chocolate, vanilla, espresso, molasses, and red grapes; cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg; brown sugar, toast, toffee, and chewy caramel.

Super rich and creamy on the palate; thick, smooth, a touch chewy. Growing heat on the back end, but very, very drinkable.

This is absolutely a fantastic beer, without any real flaws, and easily the best pumpkin stout I've ever had. Warlock is a pumpkin beer that happens to have a stout base; this, by contrast, is a huge stout that has pumpkin and pumpkin spice added for flair.

In my snifter the beer was black with just a halo of a tan head.
Aroma of chocolate, spice, and pumpkin. Happy the pumpkin was not overwhelmed by the spice.
Complex taste. Chocolate, cinnamon, and caraway. Pumpkin held up well.
Smooth, very drinkable.
Fantastic beer. Everything worked well together. I need more of these!
