Notes / Commercial Description:
Prairie Hop is our hop driven saison. This beer is packed with Simcoe and Citra hops. Notes of peach, mango, and tangerine can be found in the flavor and aroma of this beer. The beer finishes dry which helps the hops jump out of the glass flavor wise.

Not a bad saison with flavors of peach, apricot, tangerine, apple, grass, and hops. Was a bit like GI's Sofie on steroids due to the hops but wasn't as balanced as I'd like. I'd still prefer Sofie. Got a bomber for $5 so happy with it @ that price, not worth its usual $15.

Look: It pours golden with a pillow white head. Head retention is excellent. There is plenty of lacing to it.

Smell: It has strong aromas of peach and mango.

Taste: The flavors are strong with mango, tangerine, and peach. There are some orange notes as well. There are slight notes of bread. There are also slight hints of earthen qualities as well.

Feel: It has a moderate body and a moderately bitter aftertaste. It is rather smooth on the palate.

Overall, this is an easy drinking rather tasty beer that highlights the hops.

Poured into Tulip glass. Hugr 4 inch head made filling the glass difficult. Champagne-y and effervescent. Nice initial flavor with pleasant and quick aftertaste. Fruity. Very nice, would definitely drink again.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

L: Cloudy dull golden bronze pour. Massive foamy white head. Great lacing.

S: Sharp citrus and stone fruits. Peach and apricot. Mango and grass.

T/F: Dry and grainy. Champagne-like... fruity esters and floral. Peach and apricot mingled with mango and apple rind. Medium bodied... effervescent and bubbly. Finish is dry and fruity.

O: A style defying complex saison. Lots of fruit character mingled with dry white wine/champagne. One to drink slowly and savor.

This was poured into a tulip and a snifter the day I had it. The appearance was a nice looking hazy orange color with a thin white foamy half fingered head that dissipated within less than a minute in both glasses. The smell had some light notes of peach, mango and tangerine and had some light Belgian spices arrange themselves neatly in and out on over top of the previously mentioned fruits. The taste was a good combination of spicy to sweet. On the palate, this one sat at/about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed pretty good for the Belgian ale style. Overall, though I thought this was a saison at one time in my life, I see that it is not, well, honestly I’m okay with that. Straight up Belgian Pale Ale or Saison, either way this is good to me and worthy of having again.

Deep golden in color with a nice off white head. Nose of simcoe pine and citrus from the citra. Nice pepper quality from the yeast. Flavor follows with more pepper and a super dry finish. I'm really glad this is in 4 packs now.

Pours a hazy, dark yellow towards golden color with a thick head of cream colored foam, at least two fingers thick. Smells of melon, peaches, and slightly of malt and bread. Tastes fruity, peaches, melon, rich breads, very little bitterness, a hint of pine, and some grapefruit towards the end. Medium-light body. Finishes fairly cleanly. Interesting beer, aroma isn't huge but the flavors certainly are. Doesn't necessarily prepare you for it. Easy, easy drinker and drinks more like a 4% beer than an 8%.
