Poured into a Dogfish traditional oversized snifter. Bottleneck says 2035.

A- Pours a hazy medium amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a mostly full sheet of surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves small clots behind.

S- Somewhat pungent hop aroma with a bit of musty yeast character.

T- A bit of assertive hop bitterness with a nice earthy quality that melds well with the yeast presence that also produces some fruitiness.

M- Lingering hop bite with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side.

O- A great take on a pale ale. Prairie took the style and put their own twist on it. Wish it wasn't so pricey but hey, you pay for what you get, and in this case it's awesomeness.

It's been awhile but I remember this brewsky. Never a bad Prairie back then. No citrus.

Unknown vintage; drank 9/19/15 @ the Yarchives.

Murky dark orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a big white head; a curtain of lace.

Mango, pineapple & caramel notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Mango & grapefruit flavors up front; dandelion, fresh ganja & caramel sweetness on the finish.

Flavorful & certainly worth a quaff.

Bottle from Boise Co-op. Not your typical post match brew, but really good. Listed as an APA, with tons of Saison character. Cloudy pale golden body with some floaties and a thick foamy head. Yeast is predominant aroma, taste builds some hop bite. Smooth and creamy, mild fruity notes too. Gender bender for sure, but extremely tasty.

Impressive four-finger head. As it recedes, it forms a dimpled dome. The lace is spotty. The color is straw to gold with a solid haze with some bottle-conditioned yeast pouring into the glass at the end.

The smell starts off grainy, as if there is unmalted (pale) barley in the brew. I then get elements of vanilla, cream and very pale malted barley. There's a light, floral hop--almost unnoticeable.

The taste is a bit more pedestrian. I get a good pale malt base and a more biting black pepper finish. Decently long aftertaste with a bit of freshly cut weeds on the back of the throat. The carbonation is fine but above average. Solid body.

Overall, the complexity is strictly in the smell. The taste breaks no rules but does not create interest either.
