A - Has a hay straw and golden colored body with a white one finger head.

S - Funky nose with hints of tart lemon, oak and juicy sweet fruits.

T - Acidic lemon/orange profile, white wine busts through and it has a oak wood finish.

M - Light bodied and medium carbonation. Dry finish and tannic/acidic too.

O - Enjoyable and has enough twists & turns in the beer to make it an interesting drink.

Hazy yellow golden colored. A half inch thick off white head with vibrant carbonation bubbles within the beer. Brussels lacing. Aromas of pineapple, mango and a bit of funk waft out of my glass. The taste of peppery saison yeast is on the front of the palate. It is followed quickly by a gentle touch of the earthy rye. The rye lingers in the aftertaste along with the pineapple and mango notes. The carbonation on this beer is moderate and the mouth is pretty crisp and dry.

Bottle @ beer tasting on 1/31/2015. Pours hazy light golden in color with minimal bubbly effervescent head. Aroma is tart citrus, yeasty funk, and hints of wood. Medium body, nice carbonation with some trub-like particulate. Taste is lemon, white grape, oak and funky yeast elements nicely balanced. Very drinkable saison and the barrel aging adds a nice dimension.
