The colour is pinch black; the low head is beige. It sinks down to a thin ring leaving no lacing.

The smell is sour with distinct notes of dark red berries, mostly raspberries. Quite a lot of funk, it reminds me of Flemish Red ales and perhaps a fruity American Russian Imperial Stout.

The taste is burned, roasted and tart. It is much dryer than the Sasion Dupoint that I had before this one. The fresh tartness sticks to my teeth. Lots of red berry flavours. It doesn’t remind of anything I have had before, maybe it is a bit like Duchess De Bourgogne and other Flemish Reds.
The body is light to medium. Black peppers in the aftertaste as well as tart red ripe berries. The sour notes isn’t as much Lambic as rhubarb, gooseberries and lemon acid. Burned malts and unripe raspberries in the finish.

The few bubbles are small and short-lived; the liquid is light and a bit harsh.

An excellent and very different beer. I didn’t note any hops or bitterness at all.
